Both the Auburn and UGA scores were 21-21 at halftime and the exact score at the end of the game.. why then, does ESPN say Auburn "hangs on" and UGA "destroys" "demolishes" Clemson?
UGA played well, but so did Auburn. Is this just because Clemson was ranked?

Cuz yall are the reigning SEC Champs vs an unranked opponent that was winless in the conference last year.
UGA had a shite year last year, and was playing a ranked opponent.

Where does it say UGA demolishes or destroys Clemson?

Probably. Expectations. Last years success will hurt you this years. Unfair? Yes. Keep winning and you will regain the accolades and attention.

Exactly. Expectations. I should have read your post before making mine. Same sentiment, but yours is better said.

I remember UGA "escaped" North Texas last year, beat them by a dozen touchdowns or so, but it was close at the half.
Arkansas ~ North Texas

Perception and expectations.....

I personally don't care what they say. From the games I watched AU, UGA & A&M all looked to be the better (WEEK ONE) teams. It's all gonna play out.

Agree, but HANGS ON?

I am currently watching a replay of the Georgia game on the SEC network. The score was 24-21 with 10 mintues left in 4th quarter. Clemson missed a chip shot field goal right before halftime or the score would have been 24 apiece with 10 minutes left in the 4th. They might or might not be better than Auburn, but I am laughing at all the tards on this board who said Georgia looked like the best team in the country

Does seem rather....underwhelming, doesn't it?
It was a solid win.

Maybe cause Clemson scored their last points of the game at the 7:28 mark of the 2nd qtr. & UGA proceeded to score the next 31 points in a row...
After Clemson missed a FG at the 4:28 mark of the 2nd qtr. they never advanced past their own 31yd line with 15 total yds & 1 1st down for the next 34:28 of the game...

Not to mention they were RANKED. They won the Orange Bowl last year. I realize they didn't have their biggest playmakers from '13 but what Dallas said is right, they were dominated from late 2nd quarter and on.
