Can Richt survive an 0-2 start ? Those first two games may be the most important in his career. I think it is a case of him winning the East or retiring. Losing to USC would not be a good start. I do not know if UGA Fans will have the patience to look to 2015.

Richt will not retire, or be fired, after this year.

He started off 0-2 a couple years ago and won the division didn't he?

Yes
Mediocrity is the norm so 0-2 start would feel cozy for them

Yes, Richt will be fine if he starts 0-2 so long as the team rebounds and finishes with a 9 win season. 7 or less and his seat will be hot but the wheels should have to absolutely fall off for him to be fired.

Ive said it many times before, but some of the inbreds that start threads here have very short memories. Uga did just that in 2011, then won 10 straight to win the division. Its only been 3 years, how can you forget already? I say they score 30. Close game.

Doesn't really matter since we are going to start 2-0. He isn't going anywhere regardless, there is no hot seat.
More pertinent question, if Gus follows the typical Auburn script following a 10+ win season and flops this year with a 6-6 record or something equally horrible, how hot does his seat get?

If he loses to the taterheads @ home his seat could get hot, but don't see that happening. I think if he loses to the Cocks the next week on the rodd it will not matter either way.

If they start off 2-0, they could very well finish undefeated. SEC road games at Mizzou, at Arkansas, at Kentucky.

can gus survive a 0-1 and a loss to bert?

All I know is one day Richt will walk away from UGA a very very rich man. He is safe

could be 1-2 with a loss to Bert at Home and to Kansas St. on the road.

Auburn lost their last game. By no means are they on top. Speaking of losses, Richt will most definitely start the season 0-2. The Carolinas are his weakness.
