re: Why are Alabama fans the only fans that realize LSU is still a top 3 SEC team?

However, Alabama fans recognize that LSU is still their hardest game this year (at worst 2nd behind Auburn).
Is it because they are the only other fanbase that knows what real talent looks like? Or is it that the rest of you are just trolling/being delusional?
LSU fans have been saying Bama fans are stupid and don't know anything about football....maybe we are beginnning to believe you?

Beckwith will get plenty of PT early on and likely take that position. IDC what Chavis says. He's just being nice.
If anything, LSUs youth is at DB, but we all know those dudes will be a force to reckon with.

LSU/Bama game is a slugfest every year. Both teams/fans/coaches respect each other and understand that this game will be brutal for years to come. IMO - it's mutual hate/respect.
This x1000
Bama and LSU fans love to rib each other but every year it is one of if not the most physical games in college football. I love it and it will be that way for years to come!

You're second behind Auburn to all of us.

LSU has been consistently better than Auburn since most of us have been old enough to watch and follow football. And you know that.

Because you lose unprecedented production on your offense and your defense has some questions.

True, but LSU's defense has less questions than most of you think.

Corners are good as is DE.
DT and Safety are both major points of concern.
If Welter or any of the young MLB guys develops then LB should back to better than last year.
The Wisconsin and State games should tell everyone a lot about what to expect from LSU offensively. I foresee a lot of option/read offense and TE option routes to alleviate the pressure on Harris(that's who I think will win eventually)

LaCouture played really well last year. Thomas' biggest question mark is if he's healthy. According to recent news, he should be fine. 100% or not is the question.

I think Welter loses his spot, but idk. All reports from staff are that Welter has kicked it up another level this off season.
I agree with you about LBs and DT, to an extent.

agree to an extent. IIRC Wisconsin lost nearly their entire front 7, so I see a lot of Magee, Hillard and LF getting plenty of carries up the middle. Obviously we'll see plenty option/read though with the style of both qbs.
Hopefully we get the ball in the air though. Curious to see how that plays out.

You want to disagree, back it up with some reasons instead of irrelevant talk of last year.
That's all a preseason ranking of a schedule is.

And as far as this year is concerned, most Bama fans are more worried about the Auburn game. That is what I meant.

They are clinging to the past. Alabama fans are known for this.
What year is this? 2004? Are you going to complain that Bama fans are too harsh on their coach because they will always compare him to Bryant?

I think everyone knows that LSU is very talented and they are going to be at least good.
But no one thinks they are championship caliber because they have questions on D, at WR, and at QB.
They lost some of their most productive offensive players EVER.
A small step back is expected, and when you consider they were only 10-3 last year anyways, people see a talented team, but not a championship team.
That's the logic.

Because we know Mississippi to be Mississippi, whether old or state. Also, Bert is fat and Manziel is gone. True story.
