I will admit that TS fans are the most batshit crazy fans in the conference, if not the country. I wish that our fans at BDS were as loud, obnoxious, and demonstrative. But they're not, and that's okay.
Saban has said in the past that we seem to perform better on the road as there are fewer distractions for the team.
I think fans that place such a high premium on the effect of a 'home field advantage' usually lack a degree of confidence in the ability of their team to win without their assistance.

SVP said it best in regards to Tiger Stadium....."Go there once. If you haven't been, no talking!"

Why are only Bama fans the ones saying Tiger Stadium is overrated? They are using one school (theirs) as rationale that TS is overrated and it just so happens that school is one of the most successful in history...
As usual, they wouldn't want to give credit to LSU for anything.
Besides what does a Bama fan care about home field advantage...their Tuscaloosa-based refs travel to every SEC venue.

SVP made those comments after the 2012 Bama game.
How did that game turn out?

These swamp people are confusing HFA with game day experience. LSU has a great game day experience. But their HFA is grossly over rated as are all HFA. No one is saying it does not exist. The truely want to believe they affect the out come of theit home games.
I think Alabama was favored in 2010 and LSU won that game, butnot because of their fans or their perceived "magic" of TS. I was at that game and the crowd did not cause Nevis to force GMac to fumble or for LSU to convert a fourth down.
I have been to TS 4 times and that is the only loss i have witnessed. That is inline with Bamas winning 3 outta 4 played in such a maigical environment.
Anybody know if LSU'S winning percentage is any better than anyother comparable school when they are the home under dog?
The scienitific statistics listed previously say its not true at all.
And for the poster saying they are only talking about the last ten years, that is laughable considering LSU is on the best run in its history over that period.
If it really existed, iy would happen whether the team was good orbad. Its nothing more than superstition that allows these stadium pagans to feel as if they are a part of the team.

Well, you are picking the one that kinda debunks any advantage there.

Once TS was in gear that game was over and you just had to stew there for an hour knowing BDS could never compare. Love it!!

Only a dumb arse Bama fan would equate one teams success to overall HFA. Dumb is dumb

Cliffs: We all know alabama has a better record than LSU (Thanks Bear Bryant and WW)
Mizzou and USC still fighting over shite no one cares about
Auburn is underrated
TAMU vastly overrated
Alabama fans always derail every thread to talk about how great they are. Yes, we know your team is the best. Shut the frick up for once.

and you seem obsessed w/ TigerCruise,, so what's worse 'team obsession' or 'poster obsession'?
but I do agree w/ the pig,, clucks show up strong after a history of 'gettin dat azz beat', and waving the white towels, well done clucks.
did anyone mention Neyland, where more fans show up on a given Saturday for a live disappointment in person?

2 BCS Championships later... that game is beyond insignificant.

No offense but we literally never lose to Ole Miss and haven't lost to Arkansas at home in quite a while. You aren't exactly going to get the best crowds at BDS for teams that are rarely a threat. You need to go to a non-Ole Miss/Miss State/Vandy/Arky/Kentucky game at BDS to get a good feel for what an atmosphere for a big opponent is like there. I've been to countless games against these teams at BDS and literally the only one of these games where the atmosphere approached a typical visiting Auburn/LSU/Florida/Georgia/Tennessee/other big time team level was the 1999 Mississippi State game at BDS. The SEC West was on the line that day and BDS was loud as frick.
