1. 2002 Miami - great all around team
2. 2005 USC- best offense ever
3. 2011 LSU
LSU was too deficient at quarterback to be #1.

I mean, you'd have to be retarded to not think LSU got screwed.

He was talking about the 04 Auburn game I think

2011 Alabama
Best offense ever vs. Questionably the best defense ever.
Don't forgot that 2011 Bama faced mediocre QBs at best. And that is being kind.
If I was a better, I'd bet on 05 USC.
It took a superhuman performance by Vince Young coupled by a few dumb coaching decisions from Pete Carroll for Texas to take them down.

How was the Tejas D that year?

I still would favor 2002 Miami over 2005 USC because the Trojan defense simply lost too much from the year before.

I'd rank the 5 best as:
1) 2005 USC/2002 Miami
2) 2005 USC/2002 Miami
3) 2011 LSU
4) 1998 Florida State (with Weinke healthy obviously)
5) 2001 Nebraska (People forget how loaded Nebraska was that year before they ran into a buzz saw against Colorado. Then obviously, they lost to the 2nd best team of all time IMO vs. 2001 Miami. I consider 1995 Nebraska to be the greatest team ever.)

2001 Miami would've ate that team alive.

never will a team be the best in an era and it "not even be close" if they lost a game. just think about what you're saying before you type out illogical nonsense as such. if alabama 2011 wasn't good enough to beat everyone on their schedule, then they weren't good enough to be the best ever and it "not be close."

2001 Miami is the GOAT of the BCS era. You are delusional.

They weren't even the best team in the conference.
