Have you ever been on the AIR with a radio station?

Specifically the Finebaum show, because it's all about the SEC..... But if you have other good stories about being on the air, please do share.
I myself have never been on the air, but when I was 11, I called a station and requested a song.

No. But listening to NO local radio during CFB season is every bit as entertaining as Finebaum.

Finebaum is so playing into the stereotypes! Why do people go on and care that they are the "best caller ever"? Small people want to think they matter.
They don't.
And besides, while Bert is fat, PF is way skinny and bald and has big ears. AND on top of that, he manipulates a bunch of dumbasses to create a freakshow.
But other than that, I like him

One time I called in and got a quiz answer right and won a cd.
The only other time was when I gave a free hamburger to a DJ when I worked at a burger shack and he played like 5 songs in a row I requested and wrote for him.

For me I was on the radio from time to time as part of my study in college. After that I've been on radio where I've called in a few times to a local talk show. I've also been interviewed or done radio ads about political-related items.

I've called into political shows a few times, also had my texts read on 610 in Houston a few times. The first time I was all excited, not really a thing now though.

I once called in and won a some concert tickets on a morning radio's "Guess that tune" contest. Couldn't believe the people wrongly guessing what was obviously the opening riff of "That'll Be The Day"

Sort of. My words were broadcast on the radio when I was a teenager. I'd attended a public meeting about proposed school uniforms and spoken during the public comment section. I had no clue it was recorded by the radio station let alone deemed good enough for broadcast - tons of people spoke that night. I didn't even get to hear it when it aired the next day but found out when adults came up to me talking about how great my speech was and my peers told me how cool it was that I was on air.
I really have no idea if they were just being polite or if I sounded good but it's still kinda neat knowing it happened even if I didn't get to hear it myself.

My friend ran a radio show at Uga and I called it once to talk/subtlety mess with him.
I'm sure all 5 people listening thought I was great

My high school friend's dad had a sports show in Gainesville, Ga and I used to call in and ask him to talk about the Razorback basketball program.
That was when we had Todd Day, Lee Mayberry and Big O. Used to try and stump him about injury updates or how a hardly used sub could impact a game if he got in.
We had a lot of fun with it, and I would tell him when I was over at his house that I was going to stump him. He was talented and did his homework.
Good guy

Handful of times. Was more nervous than I thought I would be. I'm a little girl.
Started when my brother's best friend got a weekly one hour guest spot on our local sports talk station as a baseball "expert." I called in twice that first day doing different voices just kind of fricking around with him. He was a pitcher and my brother had been his catcher and I kept asking him questions about catchers and trying to get him to say my brother's name (I had called my brother and told him to tune in). He never figured out it was me until my brother told him and when I called back in he kind of lost it a bit and the other hosts of the show were kind of confused about what was going on.
That's about it for me besides for calling in with my best take (they call it giving a sock) to win a $200 jewelry store gift card (came as two $100 certificates). I won and it turned out to be a total scam. Everything in the store was $350 plus and when I went to pay they told me I could only use one of the two $100 certificates per item. Tried to give the other one to my mom but they wouldn't let her use it (non-transferable or some other BS). Ended up spending $250 of my own money on a bracelet my wife "likes" and then having to pay taxes on the other $100 gift card that I could not afford to use.
