Why couldn't he start at LSU? What do they have that's better than him?
Brandon Harris would be competing for the starting job in College Station if Kyle Allen didn't choose to play for the good guys. I don't think Sumlin would give Nick Marshall a look at QB.

He couldn't start over Justin Worley? The same guy that has more interceptions than touchdowns in his career? The same guy with a career pass completion percentage around 56%? He couldn't start over Josh Dobbs? The same Josh Dobbs with 3 x's as many interceptions as touchdowns?
Maybe he could. I'm not actually that confident in that one. I'll remove UT from the not starting list.

It wouldn't be hard to start over Brandon Allen and his below 50% career completion percentage.
It would be hard for Nick Marshall for the reasons I listed.
Allen's WRs didn't do him any favors last season, Cowan was benched due to running routes that were not even in Chaney's offense (they were in Petrino's), that's how into the game he was.
He was had a completion percentage of 60% to the TEs and RBs.
His overall pass percentage is still higher than Nick Marshall's % of snaps under center or Audibles called at the line of scrimmage.

Nothing you are posting is disputing the actual claim.
Nick Marshall is a system QB, nothing more, nothing less.
AJ Derby put up better stats in JUCO than Marshall, so I guess he would be starting for Auburn by your logic.

FWIW, I left out teams like Georgia, South Carolina and Mizzou because I have seen that they have talent at quarterback. I even left out Texas A&M because I know Kevin Sumlin has a tendency to go with a quarterback that will thrive in an air-raid offense.

Oh, in one phase of the game? What about other stats listed?
Also, does this speak volumes about Gus Malzahn's ability to develop quarterbacks? Nick Marshall goes from putting up inferior stats in Junior College when compared to AJ Derby (per you), and now he's a Heisman candidate while the other is a tight end. Hmmm, interesting.

Suggests he fits a system.

AJ Derby had the better stats, he's a walk on here.
If you can put your inferiority complex aside for a minute, you could answer how many snaps Marshall has taken from under center and how many play audibles he has called from what he saw from the defense on the field.
You would also realize I never said Brandon Allen would start for Auburn, just that Nick Marshall would not start for Arkansas.

Nick Marshall won't sniff a Heisman.

Seven seems really low for Driskel given that he's not only moving to a more QB friendly offense (spread option is back) but that he also has a 12-3 record as a starter, flip him and Coker and it makes a lot more sense.
Driskel had nothing to do with that record. Your defense won you those games.
Next year, we are going to find out what Driskel can really do.
Either he was overrated as frick in high school or Will Muschamp is just down right horrible at offense.

K, but in those two games he also combined for 3 TD's and 2 INT's, a 57% completion %, -9 yards of Rushing, and a QBR of 59...so there's also that, and that's why he's not in the top half
There were also countless drops by our receivers against Nebraska. I don't think he has proven a whole lot, but rating him behind Driskel, Coker, and Hill is mind boggling to me. Those guys may end up being great, but I just have no idea how they are ahead of Mason for the time being.

Brother Wallace is going to put you all to shame.

It should be no surprise that this year's list of QBs would look shitastic after the batch that graduated or left early last year.

You have to be able to take snaps from undercenter at Arkansas and call audibles on your own from what you see, not what the sideline sees and flashcards up. So no, he would not start at Arkansas.
Because that prolific offense that Bert has installed is tearing through defenses. Maybe in a year or 2 you can say that but with Brandon Allen at QB...

Driskel's talents at QB don't fit any offense Muschamp is going to run at UF. He should have gone & played in a AU/MSU/OM type offense. Hes had one terrible coordinator after another.
