Rebs, tell me about Boise. Are they going to be pretty good this year?

I know I'm late to the thread, but I had no idea this series was so lopsided. I know about the LSU/MSU series, but is this not the most lopsided between to charter members of the SEC?

I believe that OM has actually beaten them 7 times. The 8th giving them credit for the Langham forfeit. Of course, Bear and Vaught had a gentleman's agreement to avoid playing each other for a bunch of years there too, where OM probably would have won at a higher percentage than they traditionally have against Bama...

On the other side of your question, when John Bond walked off the field in 83, we had just won 8 of 10 against LSU, and the MSU/LSU series was at 30-41-3 all-time. We even had a winning record against LSU in the state of MS(1982 was the first time they had played in Starkville since 1923 -- with 41 games played in Baton Rouge and 13 in Jackson in the meantime). Since then, we are 4-26.

If you escape these 2 games undefeated, which you should, then you still need to avoid losing more than two games during this stretch:
quote:

Oct. 4, 2014 Alabama
Oct. 11, 2014 at Texas A&M
Oct. 18, 2014 Tennessee
Oct. 25, 2014 at LSU
Nov. 1, 2014 Auburn

and sweep these two games:
quote:

Nov. 22, 2014 at Arkansas
Nov. 29, 2014 Miss. State

Your schedule set up is miserable. AD should be fired for this shite IMO. Needed bye weeks on 9/27 and 11/8. 9-3 is the ceiling. 8-4 is most likely. 7-5 and you might as well go ahead and fire Freeze.

Why would we fire Freeze for 7-5?

I personally don't believe in Freeze. Probably a good thing I'm not the AD.

ETA: But I would have you playing a much better schedule if I was the AD. Maybe you should hire me.

He needs to improve his play calling in a big way. He's predictable. Either that or hire an actual offensive coordinator.

I'm impressed with his recruiting prowess, but his team just looks sloppy and slightly unprepared every time I watch them play - obviously, that could be due to the youth. If he doesn't make noise in the West this year, then I'm not sure he will. Arky is still down. Miss St. is still slightly above average (for the conference), but not better than that. aTm, LSU, and Bama all break in new QBs while you have a 3 year starter at that position. AU won't win the West again based on history.

Plus, there's something about his face that makes me think he's just not that intelligent.

I remember the same thing being said about Houston Nutt starting in 2001.

Nutt never got kids out of state or qualified like Freeze has though. Especially here.
