Dontae Walker, Class of 1999.

He was a year behind me at Clinton High School in Mississippi. He was the USA Today National Player of the Year as a Senior.

Signed with MSU and fizzled out.

Who you got?

Jasper Sanks was Herschel Walker reincarnated (I know we say that every year).

Did Richard Samuel from UGA ever make it to the NFL? I remember him being a 5*.

For USC, Demetris Summers was a 5* who got kicked off our team. All-SEC as a freshmen. Spurrier showed up and booted him.

Walker is the only player I know of to be heavily booed on his senior day.

For UK, it's easy:

Micah Johnson. Rivals had him as a 6.0 4*, ranked #36 in the nation. ESPN had him as the 9th best player in America, graded a 91.

He played pretty well at UK, earning Freshman All-SEC, 1st team All-SEC as a JR and 2nd team All-SEC as a SR.

He had a problem with recurring knee injuries, including surgeries in 2007 and 2009.

He spent some time on the Bengals practice squad after being signed/waived a couple of teams as an UDFA.

He's playing for the Calgary Stampeders now.

I remember him. He was a beast. Last time I saw a picture of him he was 30ish, weighed 400 pds and was graduating from a college somewhere after getting out of prison. I wish him well.

Chris Strong from South Panola was a huge letdown. 5 star linebacker and was #3 linebacker in the nation coming out of high school. Went 1 semester at Ole Miss and played for Orgeron.....then he fluncked out because everybody from South Panola is illiterate...after that I believe he played at Jackson State and community college....now he's probably slangin rock on a corner in Batesville somewhere.
