Going back through the years, since the SEC started their run of dominance (2006 to present), on average, the SEC has had roughly 8.1 (11 in 2013, 9 in 2012, 10 in 2011, 6 in 2010, 8 in 2009, 6 in 2008, 11 in 2007, and 4 in 2006) players taken in the 1st round of the NFL Draft each year. I started with the year 2006 because that's when the SEC started this dominance.

I may or may not have skipped a player or two... For the 1st round of the 2013 NFL Draft, I counted players from Mizzou and Texas A&M, but for no other year.

So, which players do you think end up being taken in the 1st round for the 2015 NFL Draft? Below I have listed just some players with the potential to be... Feel free to add someone to the list.

TJ Yeldon (Alabama)
Landon Collins (Alabama)
Amari Cooper (Alabama)
D'haquille Williams (Auburn)
Trey Williams (Arkansas)
La'el Collins (LSU)
Denico Autry (Mississippi State)
Cody Prewitt (Ole Miss)
Todd Gurley (Georgia)
Dante Fowler Jr (Florida)
AJ Johnson (Tennessee

Unless Cody really improves his coverage skills this year he will probably go somewhere closer to round 3 or 4.

Denico Autry was a senior, he gone.

Benardrick McKinney has a decent enough shot to hit the first round with a strong season.

I would be surprised if Yeldon goes 1st round with his fumbling issues and high point of contact. I would take him off and maybe add Trey DePriest.

Also, if Daquille Williams is a first rounder, so is Jacob Coker.

Depends on the season. No later than early second ala Courtney Upshaw.

For Mizzou:

Markus Golden or Shane Ray DEs both have potential to be first rounders (Mizzou has a great track record in recent years of putting DLs in the first round)

I would have possibly said DGB as well, but….

Yeldon...doubtful

Collins, maybe if he has a breakout year. He was hit or miss last season, gave up several big plays.

Jawaun James goes in the 1st.

Edit: This year not 2015. Oops. Would agree with AJ in 2015.

Sorry, no way there will be three RB's taken in the first round. There may not be any taken in the first round. Safeties and CB's are more valuable to NFL teams now than RB's are. I don't understand why RB's have so little value anymore, but that's just how it is.

Don't see it. 1, MAYBE 2 RBs could always slide up into the first, but I don't know that Yeldon would in a class with Gurley.

Landon Collins (Alabama)

Definitely will be, imo. Even if he underperforms a bit this season, he'll be a combine warrior.

Amari Cooper (Alabama)

Likely will be.

Those are the only three from Bama with a shot at it in 2015, imo.

DE/DT Ray Drew and OLB Jordan Jenkins both have a really good shot at going in the 1st round IMO
