We signed a home and home contract with them.
They played at JHS in 2007.

it'll be a thursday night game early in the season... it will offer tons of national publicity (hopefully it turns out to be good pub).
It's not USC in the collesium, but we'll have the spotlight regardless.

When the contract was signed, we were supposed to play at Arrowhead Stadium. I was looking forward to that. I hate that part of things changed.

ESPN sold the KSU AD on the Thursday night plan.

Not good news for AU and Malzahn. Those two think alike.

Not sure of a recruiting angle outside of JuCos. There is a lot of SEC talent that plays in JuCo out here.

Snyder will pull out at the last second.

K State sucks just like the rest of the Big 12.

It's called a home and home...many teams do these...we hosted them in 2007
I'm looking at the 2008 schedules to now and Auburn has played at WVU, at Clemson, and now at Kansas State
In that time, Bama has played at Penn State and that's it for OOC away games, as well as canceling home-and-homes with Michigan State and Georgia Tech
the real question should be why won't Alabama schedule home-and-homes?

I live about ten miles from Manhattan, they're going to K-State so I can watch a game.

Bama also played at Duke. So Auburn has played exactly one more OOC opponent on the road than Bama in the time period.
Regardless, this was not a criticism. I genuinely wanted to know why KSU. Usually you travel to play someone that helps recruting, a la Clemson and not to a recruiting backwater like Kansas.
