I'm going with Mike Davis because UGA backfield>>>USCe backfield, it will take too many carries away from Gurley.

That and USCe OL may be a good bit better than ours. UGA's OL always seems to be a point of weakness lately.

I agree and Mike Davis is a very gifted player. He should get more carries than Gurley and will do alot with them.

Davis will have more yards.
Gurley will have more TD's.
Gurley will have more TD's.

We get it. Every LSU player is the best at their position and Les Miles > Nick Saban.

If Gurley stays healthy for the whole season, I think it'll be him...

safe bet is gurley. Kid is a beast.

You didn't actually expect Athlon to include an LSU player on the top end of one of its lists, did you?

Anyone else find this incredibly ironic given the lovefest for Henry?
Gurley, Yeldon, and Mike Davis are the safe bets. LSU will rotate heavily at the RB position and we'll probably have Magee rush for about 1,000 and Fournette rush for 750 or so.

I've never said anything about Henry. I will now. He's the 3rd best rb on the team.

he's the best at not fumbling, and that counts for a lot

Will be none of them. Just like the Heisman, it will be someone out of the blue.

It's so hard to pick this every year in the SEC.
Davis is probably a safe choice because of the way Spurrier likes to run the ball these days, and USCe is supposed to have a good OL.
LSU and Alabama will have strong running games, but will share too many carries. Same with UGA and Missouri.
I think you really have to look at a team that only really has one guy that will be doing the majority of the carries or a team that runs most of the time.
I think the leading rusher will come from Auburn or Arkansas.

He'll fumble too, given enough carries.

Yeah I don't think this is accurate. We have a big stable of very good backs, who I think will sub more often this season. Especially considering the way we wore Davis down this year. Davis will still get the majority of the load for sure, but having Wilds, Carson and Williams (remember this name, he will destroy teams in the future) all healthy in the fall will take some of the wear and tear away from Davis.
