While it's a good bet that USC will run more in 2014 from the RB position, there's no guarantee that Davis will see more carries. USC won't have Shaw to rely on as their 2nd rusher - he was 2nd on the team behind Lattimore on '11 and '12, and behind Davis last season - and Thompson can run but he'll be much more of a situational rusher for us in 2014 - basically a straight-line "from A to B" runner for us, if at all...
Davis also wore down late last season due to his heavy workload. USC's had some serious injury attrition at RB over the past 3 seasons. We won't be as deep as Bama, UGA, or others, but IF we can stay healthier this season, the contributions of Wilds, Williams, and Carson will be more substantial than they were last season.
So I expect a more balanced distribution of carries earlier in the season (Wilds was injured early last season, and Williams was red-shirted). This will hopefully result in Davis being fresher in the late portion of the season, which means he'll have more carries then and/or have better results from his carries then. So maybe it'll all even out. We'll see....
USC does return a veteran OL with a total 113 career starts in the unit, and it's expected to compete for top OL in the conference this season. The OL recorded it's best year in scoring PPG, in rushing YPG, in total YPG, in fewest QB sacks allowed, and in fewest TFL allowed in the Spurrier Era, and it's expectations for 2014 are high...

I predict a year similar to 2004 for Aubs backs
CAP: 220 for 1200 & 16 tds
Grant: 140 for 1000 & 10 tds
Marshall: 120 for 640 yds

I'd rather see 800 yards for CAP, NM, and Grant than one breaking 1000.

But Spurrier knows better than to overwork him after what happened to Davis last year and Lattimore the two seasons before. So we'll see more shared carries this year with Spurrier distributing carries to Wilds, Carson and then, the unknown who I believe could be one of the best in the country in no time ... Freshmen David Williams.
It'll be Davis, Wilds and Williams sharing the carries this season ... so I just don't believe Davis is going to win the rushing title. Matter of fact, it would not surprise me to see Williams starting by the end of the season. He's that good.

I think the leading rusher will come from Auburn or Arkansas.
Most likely the leading rusher won't be from Arkansas, carries will be split too much between Collins and J Will, with Korliss Marshall getting some as well.
We will put up good rushing numbers, probably nearing 2500 yards total, but will just be divided too much to have the single yardage leader. JMHO.
