That's a conrete truck. Neither the truck driver nor professor suffered major injuries.

Glad everyone is ok. Holy shite.
Where was this?

professor is lucky to be alive, that's a lot of weight at fast speed crashing right into you.

Wow
How is that even possible?

Looks like Wellborn out near Aspen Heights

When I see a video like this I always expect it to be from a dashcam in Russia.

I like how the white truck just started rolling along through the intersection after the cement truck flipped over.

I take it you have never been to College Station? The place is home to fine examples of Soviet style buildings.
On another note, driver froze. If I saw that coming I would have veered left to avoid the head on.

I think you're right
I think that stretch of road was under construction last time I was there.

Yeah I looked at the KBTX site and it was at Wellborn and Rock Prairie. The cement truck would have been going up over the train tracks before turning unless I'm disoriented so maybe that caused it. That's some crazy shite though

In the video you see him running the red light and that white pickup forces cement driver to camera vehicle lave when he swerves to avoid it. Imagine if the white truck had been T boned on driver side?

Yow.
But... concrete police here. From the KBTX site:
You'd think a news station in Texas A&M's neighborhood would get that right.

Did they clean it up with jars?

The truck sliding on it's side at the end made all the difference. Friction saving lives.

Probably true, but speed probably had the biggest effect. At that intersection you probably have speed of 20 mph to 40 mph. If that speed had been doubled even friction would not have saved the driver in a head on collision like that.

No. Don't be silly.
Our milkmen used their hankies.

There comes a time when one should stop videoing and get the hell out of the way. Damn.
