I agree, all sports at UNC should be axed and all their coaches should get a lifetime ban.
ill settle for basketball and roy williams only if that works

Interesting use of terrible grammar

What a crock of horse shite. Things like this should piss off every single person who has ever actually put forth any sort of effort in a college class. That looks like something a fifth grader wrote. Just pathetic.

Because Aaron Hernandez was battling for a Nobel Prize in his free time between football and gang murders.

UNC cheats and Georgia Tech got the sanctions.
Way to go NCAA!

I agree that UNC has dodged the full ban hammer for some reason over the years... me thinks that halo could be knocked off pretty soon, though.

If they got through one of the worst academic cheating scandals without a scratch from the NCAA I am not holding my breath. If the Hogs had done the same under Nolan and it had come to light, the NCAA would have given the Hogs the Death Penalty.

That was a pretty good story, but it doesn't tell how it ends.

He would just cry on TV like Jim & Tammy Faye and all would be forgiven.

I don't see the problem. He waxed prosaic with a compelling, almost-hypnotic narrative of courage, injustice, befuddlement, and, ultimately, a commentary on the moral calculus of authority.
Substitute any random SEC player's name for Rosa, and "crack house" for "bus" and you'd have a typical 30 page thread filled with earnest discussion, enraged recriminations, and endless trolling here on the Rant. If a paper could get that kind of reaction, wouldn't it seem fair to call it a rousing success?

Fifth is about right, actually. While the paper was hardly a model of intellectual virtuosity, it was relatively coherent, had functional transition, and managed to be reasonably lucid. It's about the level of the average fifth grader.

The NCAA does not get into academic matters. As long as the classes are offered to all students. (Auburn Sociology, Bama classes in football).

Well that's scary. The average 5th grader is much dumber than I knew. I suppose my 5th grade class must have been quite advanced.

I'm still wondering how UNC managed to not only skate on the whole phantom department thing, but they've managed to keep their academic reputation in tact.
It's pretty amazing how they've managed this.

+1. They barely caught a glancing blow in the Butch Davis/Football deal. And you know what a "chosen one" status their Hoops program holds, so don't hold your breath waiting for anything that could come back on them.
