Well I'm out of eligibility and I wasn't on the field, so I can't help you there

Then why leave your seat in the dugout?

You responded to the wrong guy with your last post, but come on these are college kids. I get what you're saying though, you see the same type thing in MLB too. Guess it's good that they don't just all grab a bat and go ape shite on each other

taking up for his pitcher? GTFO of the baseline, what was the runner supposed to do?
read slowly...go back and watch again...baseball is in the field of play...runner leaves running lane to create contact with defenders.
so to answer your question, the runner is supposed to stay in the running lane..that is what it is for.

You have to know and understand baseball to know why this happened. I would suspect that many people on this board couldn't give a single droplet of shite about baseball.

Exactly, and just to be clear my first post in this thread wasn't about the rules of the game (the runner clearly broke that rule), it was about why the first baseman reacted the way he did. Again, completely justified

I completely understand the rules of baseball. The pitcher fielded the ball and went to apply the tag on the basepath. The runner ran through the pitcher while staying on the basepath. UF player went all bro to have his pitchers back. Don't blame him because I would have prolly done the same in college but this is why I was prolly a douche too

The FSU player went out of the base path to initiate contact. I'm not sure what you were looking at.

After even further review, Uf player tries to field ball and apply tag, right before that it appears as if FSU player tries to slow up and go inside to avoid contact, but he never leaves the dirt in which is considered his base path, then boom collision. No one at fault, just a baseball play. The pitcher wasn't upset, the runner wasn't upset, the second baseman wasn't upset. But the first baseman decided to go super bro with the chest out cocked neck thing No big deal

Truth. The FSU player did nothing wrong.
Still, screw the ACC.

yeah the FSU runner definitely cuts inside to hit the 1b.

runner should be out. ran onto the playing field interfering with the play. that is why the lane is marked on the base path.
