You have to wonder how much playing time Roc is actually going to get...

If Roc doesn't redshirt, he will be the scrub game mop up back.

With two seniors and Barber the Bully (my new nickname for him, feel free to promulgate), I doubt it. I do expect him to get plenty of looks for a freshman though.

This will rustle some jimmies.

I do like the fact that Marshall is being a little more vocal this year. I don't sense that it was ever a problem last year though. Seems like his quiet confidence was enough for everyone else to feel like we had a chance. There's a ton of leadership on this offense. Between Dismukes, Coates, and Marshall we have a lot of leadership at the top.

I think finding out who the primary back is going to be is going to be so important. This offense only hit the next level once Tre really took over the role. I can't ever remember being this excited to see an Auburn team in my whole life.

We haven't gotten any quality pictures this year from writers.

Disappointed...

I would redshirt him. Between CAP Barber and Grant he will get little to no PT. With that said though he does not plan on redshirting (his words from twitter) so maybe just play him some in mop up duty.

You don't redshirt a five star RB... if you're lucky, you only have him for three years.

AUC just posted that Swain is suspended from the team. Said it's temporary, but that's all they know right now.

Not to nitpick, but 3 years is the bare minimum you have them. 4 or 5 if you're lucky.

what's there to nitpick? i'm aware of the NFL's policy on three years removed from high school... if we're lucky, Roc lives up to the five star hype... if that's the case, we'll only have him three years.

If he sucks and/or gets hurt a bunch, then yes... he'll be here four or five. The fact still remains, we'd be retarded to redshirt roc... you redshirt guys like peyton barber who weren't heavily recruited and was coming off a major injury... not the 'can't miss' types.

absolutely not the case with a five star RB.
