Not sorry if already posted.

ETA:
"We strongly believe every SEC fan should have access to the SEC Network on DIRECTV and customers can rest assured that is our goal as we continue negotiations with the owners of the channel. Contract talks happen on a different timetable with each TV provider, so unlike our competitor, we have really just begun our discussions and hope to have an update on status as we move closer to the network's launch in August."

They better hope their retention offices are staffed appropriately if they don't reach an agreement with the SECN

I did my exit survey last week and stressed the only reason I was terminating service was their hard-lined stance on the SEC Network.

We'll see how their share prices fare after they continue to ignore consumer demand. The biggest don't stay on top forever. They are in a situation where they can dictate a channel's asking price, but that won't last much longer.

Unless Dish or someone else gets NFL Sunday Ticket and the major golf tournament and tennis tournament experiences I'm not switching even if they don't ink a deal.

UPDATE:

Did a little research. Here is what I found:

quote:

Will DIRECTV carry the SEC Network?

We strongly believe every SEC fan should have access to the SEC Network on DIRECTV and customers can rest assured that is our goal as we continue our discussions with the owners of the channel. Contract talks happen on a different timetable with each TV provider, so unlike our competitors, we have really just begun our discussions and hope to have an update on status as we move closer to the network’s launch in August.

DirecTV, Inc.

quote:

In a statement on its website, DirecTV said it is looking out for its customers with regards to the Pac-12: “DirecTV wants to make Pac-12 Network available to the fans who want it. To do that, Pac 12 either needs to agree to a price to make it affordable for all of our customers, as we’ve offered and done with dozens of other sports networks, or allow Pac 12 fans to buy the network separately or purchase individual games on demand. Unfortunately, Pac 12 has refused all of these options. Regardless, we stand ready to agree to add the network if they propose a deal that’s fair.

Will DIRECTV carry The Longhorn Network?

DIRECTV has no current plans to carry The Longhorn Network. Many University of Texas football games can be found on ESPN or ABC. Please check your local listings for game availability.

DirecTV, Inc.

The question remains:

WILL THE frickING LONGHORNS TRY TO PIGGYBACK THEIR SHITTY, UNWATCHABLE ALBATROSS ON TO THE SEC NETWORK AS A FREE THROW-IN FOR DIRECTV SUBSCRIBERS???

Can't even give that shite away. Shitty, arrogant, stupid business people make shitty business partners. We are still dealing with their shitty business deals. Now the SEC is having to bail their asses out.

What really sucks is my parents switched from DirectTv to Cox to get the Network. However Cox hasn't picked it up in Baton Rouge yet for some reason.

The SEC holds all the cards and power. 100% chance they are trying to frick DTV in the arse. I hate corporate.

But you people can't blame DTV for trying to save some of their profits. It all comes down to who has the best negotiator.
