Try wheat beers. They are typically sweeter and less bitter than American Lagers like Bud, Coors and Miller. Look for terms like weiss, weissbier, weizen or witbier. Bluemoon and Shocktop are popular American wheat beers. If you can find it, try a Blanche de Bruxelles.

Don't get me wrong, I get why people drink hard liquor like Tequila (that crap makes you feel like you're floating when you walk ). But for casual drinkers who just drink beer, what's the deal? Do you really think beer tastes better than a Mountain Dew or a Dr. Pepper???

I grant your premise. It's like when I was in high school, I would ask my Dad: "Hey, Dad, is Scotch good?" He would say, "Well, it's not good like milkshake-good."
If you don't like beer, then no beer is good. But if you do like beer, and particularly beers of a certain kind, then German beer is damn good. And I do like beer of a certain kind. And German beer is it. I like all kinds of beer, but I like German beer the best. If you drink beer every day, German beer is the best, IMHO. It's pure, baby. It has to adhere to the German beer purity law of 1516, and can only contain 4 things: hops, malt (barley and or wheat), yeast, and water. Nothing else.
