No schollie = inevitable bust.
Brandon weeden, rashaad Johnson, J.J. Watt, and Santana Moss were all walk-ons originally.
Somehow you can try to justify that wasting a scholly on the #7 LS is better than getting the #6 LS for free, but it's just not gonna work.

Taking things too seriously also = inevitable bust.
And, no, I'm not going to use an emoticon here. Figure out whether I'm being serious or not.

I hope so...we have paid so much for this top 5 recruiting class...I hope it pays off.

ESPN Ranked our RB class #1

Oh yea - defensive line!
1. Texas A&M.
I would put Bama's DL class ahead of aTm's, simply because Bama runs a 3-4. If you need 33% fewer DL, and your class is neck and neck with a team that runs a Base 4-3...I give you the nod.

What's the name of the Tennessee corrupt booster organization, anyway? I used to know, but all the repetition of REC around here has driven the name right out of my head.

Not flaming or taking a position on which class is best, but ESPN is barely above Scout in reliable football recruiting analysis. Go with Rivals or 247 (preferably the latter.) 247 Composite is probably best even though they incorporate ESPN and Scout.

Which one...you will need to be more specific.

The one that got rid of Fulmer. Or the one that paid off the cops to cover up all of Dooley's indecent exposure arrests. I mean the ones involving him and a trench coat at the sorority houses, not the football games he coached.

They are called The Tennessee Board of Regents.

Auburn took 2 long snappers this year so I would argue that we have the most depth at long snapper.

I saw Ike Powell as a preferred walk-on...who was the other one?

You know they were pressured, though. Hell, I'm sure the Commodore Club has engaged in shenanigans and it didn't even know we had a football team until a few years ago.

i would take your LB class over ours at this point with the addition of evans.
however osu also brought in sam hubbard who is listed as ath by 24/7 but is actually an OLB - listed as #2 OLB/5 star by scout. he is a going to be a damn good player.

Yea, Hubbard was probably the best athlete in Ohio last year but certainly not the best player. He was a top lacrosse recruit, even committing to Notre Dame, before switching full time to football last year.
6'6, 230, 4.5, 36in vertical, 6-10 wingspan (same as Megatron), etc.
Still needs a little polishing, but definitely went under the radar on a couple recruiting services.
Same with Parris Capmbell, imo, who's the youngest top 200 recruit in the country and still looks dominant.

Still wouldn't trade it for ours by a long shot
