For instance, UK has the same policy. Did they have the same drug/alcohol problems on campus?

Yes UK had the same issue come up. In fact, we lost the Barrel UT-UK fought for since 1925 because a few of their players died before that game in an alcohol related incident. That keg had gone back in forth for decades, survived prohibition, and made for some great pranks between the schools kegnappings and smokeynappings, (Vandy even got in on the act once by stealing it from UK to get UT fans to their basketball game as a united front against UK) yet it would've been inappropriate for the Keg to be presented that day. The problem is it hasn't come back. It's been long enough and the series isn't the same without it.

But those events and others shaped UK's own policy of being tougher on alcohol and drug related incidents.

Was in response to the guy who referenced Crowell having a gun with a scratched off serial #.

Im pretty sure any team in the SEC would have handed out the same punishment for Crowell that ya'll did, including us VOLs. I mean, those idiot that robbed Pilot got kicked off

I see what you're saying here, but that is actually connected to the football program and UK athletics may have actually taken that into account when they formed the policy.

An undergrad freshman student partying way too hard in his dorm room at UGA wasn't because of the Governor's Trophy.

On an interesting note, there was a robbery/shooting in the fort (where all the UT students live) last weekend with 3 victims (none killed i believe). I'm glad KPD has more important stuff to focus on now, instead of stupid stuff like personal safety and upholding of the peace.

sounded like a drug deal gone bad. everyone involved was arrested (and shot), including the "victims."
