Hell Kiffin was competitive in the SEC with Jonathan Crompton.
you serious Clark? Kiffin went 7-6 his only year in Knoxville. Kiffin benefitted from the fact Georgia went 8-5 and South Carolina went 7-6. The East was straight garbage in 2009 outside of Florida

I tried to tell some of them too. But, those types generally won't listen. Sims is the backup because he's done what was asked of him. But, he'll always be a backup.
Agreed

were you on the team?

That is just vintage Bucc posting. He reads between the lines and interprets for our benefit...

I am cautiously optimistic about Coker. I feel like he will fall somewhere between what the FSU coaches have said about him and a McElroy level player. Either way, Coker will give us another option at QB to consider going into next season.
I still believe that David Cornwell is the future of our team--maybe not in 2014 but he will most certainly get his opportunity.

I know you guys all laugh when Finebaum's name is mentioned but he has been harping on the fact that Bama is in trouble at the QB position next year. He either knows something or is just talking to talk. I just know everytime someone brings up the fact that Bama won Nattys with a first year starter he laughs and says what does that have to do with next year.
Finebaum knows less than most of the posters on here about football x's and o's. Finebaum says things to get people talking, nothing more nothing less. He knows very little about the actual game of football. If you listen to him he rarely ever has any real insight about a player's skills, a match up, the kind of offense/defense a team runs, etc. He doesn't even really try to talk about this stuff at all.
Anything Finebaum says that has to do with talent evaluation or the actual x's and o's of the game of football is pretty worthless.

No, we had a starter in AJ. If AJ had gone down for any length of time, someone other than Sims would have moved into the starting role. Sims can't run our offense.

I only see one difference from Sims.

I find your lack of football knowledge disturbing.

No, he was making a racist comment.

I think we are agreeing here. Bateman would have had his shirt pulled despite talking like a girl.

How is questioning why some FSU backup is being annointed as the savior of bama football and realizing that 99% of coach speak is bs relative to football knowledge?
