I still think in the end we flip edoga, let him do that flight from atl to la a few times, he will think twice about it. We will be fine this year, top 10 for sure. And we will see the Pruitt effect the month before signing day, after we make the playoffs with a top 20 D.

Getting alittle antsy with how Bama is just scooping up guys left and right. If they target our guys, I don't know...

Theus is our first string LT as long as we can find someone to play LG.
Friend isn't a great recruiter though, you're right about that. Lakatos was worse though

Hell, don't they have at least 5 more guys to run off from this year first?
To be honest, I would rather really good prospects go to Bama and sit on the bench for a year or two than to a place like AU, UF, UT, and USC where UGA would have to play against them every year.

I don't even worry about Bama anymore, they gon get who they want 99% of the time. They've got 5*'s lining up to sign with them who'll become 3rd string & in 2 years then they'll be run off. Kids ard dumb & their parents are greedy, they see nothing but $ signs & their ticket to easy street...
Got no sympathy for the kids or their folks who buy this bullshite hook-line-sinker...

You do realize that is the reason Bama has been on a tear the past 6 years. They just reload.

Apparently UGA evaluated Colbert as an ILB. Just found that interesting

How does he compare to former Dawg Paris Bostick? From everything I've read about him, that's who he reminded me of, but I did not read too much into him because we didn't offer early and he's not what I would consider critical to this class. Would love to land him eventually, but it won't break my heart if we don't.

I think that's probably a decent comparison. Height, weight are pretty similar, along with being sort of a tweener between SS and LB

UGA offered 5* 2016 QB Jacob Eason today. Bobo flew out to Washington to watch him throw.

Why we never read stuff like this about out of state commitments, only Gaillard gave us a scare last year for out of state commitments. Goodwin, and Owens is stirring the pot. I understand the free visits but these comments they are making
Four-star junior wide receiver Christian Owens of Griffin (Ga.) High School, a longtime Georgia commitment, said Tennessee is "going to have to be taken into consideration" following his first visit with the Vols on Thursday.
The 6-foot-5, 205-pound Owens received a scholarship offer from Tennessee during the visit, and he said he plans to return there at some point. He said he remains committed to Georgia, just as he has been for more than a year, but "my recruitment's open, and I'm taking (other) schools into consideration."

My guess is UGA will shut that down. Owens isn't the kind of prospect who can shop around and still have a spot saved imo. Godwin is a different deal, but if Owens starts becoming a headache you can tell him to shove it.

FWIW, on 247, Lowndes and critdog (becoming quite reputable IMO) have suggested that grades are a legitimate issue with Colbert and they have a lot to do with our slow playing him. Grades combined with his tweener status.

I think thats a good assumption. I think he’ll get an ultimatum at some point, especially with so many other uncommitted WR's on the board.

Or maybe they don't shut it down...and if not then I think everyone should realize what exactly the coaches think about it and not get up in arms if he does flip.
Meanwhile, we are completely fricking up the Josh Sweat recruitment. Solid work, guys. Shades of Grantham.

Yeah I don't like sound of the 13th ranked player in the country not being able to get us on the phone when it's clear he's interested. That irks me way way way more than slow playing Colbert.

Same, kid had us in his top group before he ever visited, if we were to push from the start like we should, he'd be a Dawg for sure. Him and Patrick? SEC gonna be .
Also, just offered '16 #1 QB Jacob Eason.

And yet, in his next sentence, he said he talked with them yesterday. It takes two to tango. He may be just as difficult to find in phone tag as the coaches. I never really take into account many direct quotes from recruits. Thye are just trying to come up with another answer to the questions they are being asked every day.
