Seizures and UGA won't clear him. He's leaving in the hope that someone else will.

He says his problems have been dehydration related. UGA thinks there is an underlying cause. UGA hasn't commented yet.

He dealt with back spasms at times during the season, but he said he suffered a seizure at one point while in Athens. UGA’s medical staff, according to Fluker, was looking into causes. He maintained that it was simply dehydration.

“I told them (other causes) had nothing to do with it,” Fluker said, “but they think it did.”

UGA listed Fluker as having an "illness" on official injury reports.

Though Fluker says he was to be medically cleared, UGA did not allow him to practice after the midpoint of the season. Bulldogs coach Mark Richt has not addressed the situation with Fluker except to say he would redshirt.

Asked if he thinks UGA would have allowed him to play had he stayed his final two years, Fluker said “How I was seeing it, I don’t know if they probably would have.”

Saying he grew frustrated by the lack of opportunity, Fluker chose to leave the team for good during Thanksgiving break and begin looking for another school. He doesn’t have a list of possible destinations yet, he said, but he hopes to be able to play at another Division I institution with continued aspirations of an NFL career.
“I think I am a Division I prospect,” he said. “I know I can be playing at a D-I school somewhere.”

He came out of JUCO and says he didn't have any problems there

He may have developed the condition while in Athens....

Not saying he has this but it is certainly a possability of why it was not caught earlier

Post-traumatic seizures (PTS) are seizures that result from traumatic brain injury (TBI), brain damage caused by physical trauma. PTS may be a risk factor for post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE), but a person who has a seizure or seizures due to traumatic brain injury does not necessarily have PTE, which is a form of epilepsy, a chronic condition in which seizures occur repeatedly. However, "PTS" and "PTE" may be used interchangeably in medical literature. PTS are more likely to occur in more severe injuries, and certain types of injuries increase the risk further. The risk that a person will suffer PTS becomes progressively lower as time passes after the injury. However, TBI survivors may still be at risk over 15 years after the injury

According to the 247 article, he suffered a similar seizure in HS, his junior year. He says it's because he drank an energy drink before practice, but I highly doubt that. It's a shame to lose him, since everyone expected big things out of him, coming into UGA, but if any team's doctor is on the stick, it's Courson. Dude's earned his keep, especially this year. We just have to continue trusting his judgement on the condition of these kids. Something had them scared to let him even practice. That's not typical.

They said he would probably be leaving yesterday. I was hoping he would pan out. Really exited about him when he signed, so this is a bummer. On the other hand, Shattlr Fentang's film is amazing. The guy is super quick for his size! I see him being able to come in and shut down some big WR's. Can see him being a Green-Beckam Killer!

Damn beat me to it.

He left with a lot of lip, people notice that kind of thing might have been his problem all along.

If he was at Hutch, then that means he was a teammate of Toby Johnson's, most likely. I'd love to see us develop a pipeline to a few solid CCs.

Game film doesn't automatically mean someone will be awesome at the next level. Jakar Hamilton was the #2 rated JUCO in america (only behind cam) and we all saw how he turned out.

Jakar was injured, then transferred, and was undrafted. However, he is good enough to be in the NFL. Albeit with the Dallas Cowboys active roster via practice squad due to an injury. Still not too shabby.
