Question for Bama fans about Saban and Sexton?

How would you feel if Sexton was actually behind all the rumors of Saban going to Texas to use it and get a 2-3 million dollar raise? Would you be pissed or just say Sexton is doing his job, even thought it is unethical.

And sexton wasn't the one adding fuel to the rumor fire. If you recall several days ago everyone took the Texas insider and Oklahoma website as the gospel. Their sources were from people "well connected"

I come from a place of experience given that Sexton was a master at somehow netting Houston Nutt raises over the years from both Arkansas and Ole Miss by leveraging other jobs.
He was able to leverage the Auburn job for a raise from Ole Miss, and was able to leverage openings at Nebraska, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Alabama and others into countless raises and sweetheart deals.

All Saban would have to do to get a 2 million dollar raise is walk into Witt's office and say "I want a 2 million dollar raise." Get it? There is no need for Sexton to leverage Alabama.

No one is forcing Bama to pay Saban more money. They realize it is in their best interest. Dr. Whitt said that Saban was the best financial investnment the university had ever made, and I do not doubt it.

He's a freaking agent. Most agents are scummy by nature. It's his job to try and get as much money for his clients as possible. Sexton just happens to probably be the best at it.

Sexton gets paid a % of his clients earnings. If he wants a raise his clients need one first. It's not rocket science.

If back channels at UT have expressed interest in Saban, of course Sexton should use all of that to help to his client.
In OP I asked IF Sexton was RESPONSIBLE for the rumors and then used it get a raise. IMO, that is misleading and therefore unethical.
