It's arguably the best college football rivalry, but it's kind of silly to compare rivalries in other sports. I mean, how can you compare it something like the Yankees/Red Sox? It really can't compare.

You're overlooking the Marlins/Mets rivalry.

The only rivalry that has an argument for being ahead of Bama/Auburn is Real Madrid/Barcelona. Yankees/Sox? Lakers/Celtics? GTFO here. Those teams aren't obsessed with each other 365 days a year like Bama/Auburn are. UNC/Duke is a better rivalry than Yankees/Sox and Lakers/Celtics.

Best in sports. Of course I'm partial. What other rivalry is so pervasive in everyday life?

The Red Sox and Yankees hate each other like no other fanbases in American sports. I've been to games in both stadiums and have been to Iron bowls. The baseball games were more hostile toward opposing fans.

several rivalries in world soccer are probably more vicious such as Boca/River, Celtic/Rangers...
Mich/tOSU is similar but both are not as up these days.

There's probably a few that's bigger...but I don't know of any that's literally 24/7/365...and I've been to a lot of places.
