GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The won-loss record has taken a tumble in 2013, but Jeremy Foley’s support of head football coach Will Muschamp has not.
Foley said Wednesday he is fully committed to Muschamp to lead the program into the future.
“As athletic director, I’m a thousand percent convinced that Will Muschamp is the guy to lead this football program,’’ Foley said inside his office at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. “Nothing has changed in what we feel about Will Muschamp from the day we hired him.

no way they fire him after this season after going to a BCS Bowl last year. Next year is make or break though.

Can we have Chavis?

Who would take that job if they get rid of BOOM? The guy won 11 games last season. People talk about how depleted UGA has been with injuries this year, UF's have been worse. BOOM will stay but changes will be made on the O side of the coaching staff.

plenty of people would. 1. florida can pay with anyone not named texas. 2. you are in a hot bed recruiting state.
coaches aren't scared, especially the best ones. they all believe they aren't going to fail so they aren't going to turn down tough expectations especially at a place like uf. It would be a different matter if state was demanding the same that uf is then yea no coach would take that but uf is built for national titles.

He'll be fired next Monday.

For those saying Sugar Bowl is what'll keep him there -- missing a bowl is more significant. Auburn just had a coach who -brought them a championship- that they fired. He's gone if there's a blowout and he's definitely gone at the end of the year. No way he stays with that statement.

you're wrong. He will be the coach at Florida next year unless you lose to Georgia Southern

nah missing a bowl when you are at one of the big 6 should get you fired. i think uf pulls the trigger.

No amount of contorting is going to keep a guy around after losing bowl season.
If he gets blown out by South Carolina, loses to Georgia Southern or gets destroyed by FSU he's toast. If he wins two of those three games he stays. I can guarantee you he won't be hanging around, though.

boomark this thread, he'll be back next year even if they go 5-7.

No idea if you're a Gator fan at all but people are turning in season tickets, Homecoming was barren and we're not going to a bowl. There is little to zero support from the fanbase and anytime an AD comes out and says this kind of stuff it usually means the dude's about to be fired. I actually can't remember a single instance when an AD came out and said: Naaaah bro, we got his back! That didn't turn into a firing.
