Fact: Manziel eats three bowls of Lucky Charms for breakfast on game days.

And when you add in the fact that 5 BAMA DEFENDERS were within 4 yards of Johnny when he threw that ball, the chances of an interception fall a little. That's one of the hilarious things about the play, he was totally fricking surrounded by Bama defenders when he let that thing go.

Yea, it was a perfect lob that there was no way could have been defended.

Didn't say that. I said it was a good throw. Not a perfect throw, not an indefensible throw. A good one. It maximized the strengths of his team. That's what elite QB's do.

You're hopeless and clearly intent on getting the last word in. Feel free to take it.

You're right, I've got an Ark to run. Can't leave WCA high and dry like that whilst we're about to sail in choppy seas

But damn, if I'm not tempted!

Anyone saying that play was more skill than luck unfortunately falls into that category.

What distinguishes that play from any other pass play by any other QB to ever play the game?

What is it about THAT play that makes it luck, but not luck in all other situations?

I'm not disagreeing with you, I just want to hear your reasoning.

Holy fricking shite. Can you read? I never said JFF was nothing but luck. For the millionth time: that one catch was lucky. That's it.

I'm just going to chalk it up to a difference of opinion.
I see that play as the result of well-honed, unbelievable athletic skill, un-coachable moxie, and a QB's complete confidence in his teammates.
You characterize it as luck.
Different strokes, I guess.
And at the end of a JFF play, I'm not too concerned about the "means" justifying the "ends"--I'm usually just grinnin' ear to ear.

I would like to hear his reasoning on WHY that play is distinguished from all other plays. What about that play made it "lucky" rather than a well-placed ball?

There are several different Ag senses of humor at play in this thread right now, really.

Not really that fair, but I'm bored, sorry

Manziel and Evans are gone, but pretend that they decided to come back for another year.

Would you non-Ags be (maybe just a little) glad that college football got another year to see what those two did on the field?

I get that a lot of you hate Manziel and get tired of all the Manziel talk. (I get tired of it too, actually.) But wouldn't you be just a little glad that college football got another year of those two?
