It was better than "Ha ha, those figs!" at least. I would have gone with "You know, they just couldn't wait to tear up that grass," but that's just me.

well on their way to digging it down and moving it.
Hopefully when done, the turf will be better than that crap we played on Saturday. Take the time in planning now to get a turf management consult from Mississippi State

It's going to be enclosed for next year, seating about 109,000. It'll be huge, but probably pretty ugly. Next offseason, they tear down and rebuild the west side and, I think, finish the structures around the stadium. The following year it will be done, with capacity supposedly at 102,500.

If I understand things correctly, they'll be working two 10 hour shifts for 7 days/week.

Good idea. I guess the turf being in shite condition on Saturday has already been talked about?

Leo Goertz is tops in his field, which is why Kyle Field has won the award for best playing surface in the nation, and why Goertz has won the Harry C. Gill Founders Award from the SportsTurf Managers Association, the most prestigious award in the industry.

That was the first time I've seen our field in poor shape (and after watching numerous games at Reliant I certainly know poor shape). I'm not sure what the issue was. We've had torrential downpours during games this year and it hasn't been nearly that bad

We were one game away from tearing the whole thing up and it had just rained. It was definitely the difference maker for us though, I don't think we won that game on a good field.

I did not notice the turf being in bad condition, but my seats weren't great. Was it obvious on tv? That is strange.

There were a few slips, especially around the hash marks. I think a couple of them were when a Miss St. player was breaking away for a TD and got tripped up.

They definitely were "letting it go" knowing it would be torn up right after the game.

Right now the field is gone, they have dug about 1/3rd of the lowereing (they are lowering it 6 feet) and have torn down about half of the South EZ bleachers all in well under 48 hours. They definitely aren't screwing around to get it done.

This could've been mildly humorous had you stopped there. The rest of it is a bit on the defensive side. Damn, y'all are testy.

Say "hi" to my family for me. No doubt you'll run into them if you frequent the new grocery store or Roper's.

Eta - WMS is PERFECT. Just the right amount of shitholiness.

Baylor is trying to give us some competition on the gay stuff. Maybe it is just spreading in Texas.
