Off the top of my head:
Charlie Strong
Al Golden
Dabo Swinney
Kirby Smart
Bob Stoops
Mike Gundy
Philip Montgomery (Baylor OC)

not going to happen

The Miami meltdown would be hilarious, but do not want. Miami is a fraud.

Dabo Swinney

He's a good coach, but I'm not sure I could handle his douchiness.

No more coordinators, please. Art Briles would be nice, though.

Gundy was intrigued by the Tennessee opening but couldn't leave Ok St for that program...it would probably be much harder to turn down the Florida job

Stop the list of coaches and crap....we have a HC and its time folks be supportive or stay out of the way.

Be careful what you wish for...UT went into a prolonged slide that they are still trying to get out of. We hire a new coach and three yrs later back to square one is whats going to happen if we aren't careful. It would take years to recover. IS that what we want?

And for Gods sake...never mention Stoops name again! He is too old and and set at OU...why come here to work his azz off recruiting? His OU teams have been miserable.

2014 will let us know all we need to. I predict a very successful year and folks need to be patient.

It is much more likely you see some new offensive coaches than a HC.

Talked to someone else pretty connected who said the same thing today. Pretty much short of a 70-0 loss to FSU, sounds like Champ is getting a mulligan.

as i much as i would want to agree with you, i wouldn't necessarily compare us to tennessee. Mike Shula kinda laid the foundation for Saban before he got to Bama. He recruited decent players that Saban could coach up and build. Which gave Saban an edge IMO. if Muschamp doesn't get things done, I'm sure the next guy will if he has the same philosophy. Shoot, has Jim McElwain proved himself yet? He ran a stellar offense under Saban.

Yep...Saban took over that 2007 squad that had 18 starters returning...including jr qb and promply went 6-6 with a loss to Louisiana Monroe....gave up 41 points to LSU..oh and won that prestigious bowl the Indepence against powerhouse Colorado....etc etc

Our pitchfork and torch crowd would storm the castle and hang Foley if we hired a new coach now and that was the result next year.

look at where he's been ever since that horrible year.

eta: he hasn't had any seasons with less than 3 losses since 2007.

I was being kind of tongue in cheek...spit that hook out!

Of course Saban is a very good coach. The point was to show even he has had bad year. I also think there is going to be a nice payoff for Foley by being patient one more year.

A year from now y'all could be singing a different tune.

You predicted that 2013 was going to be our year too. I understand that the injuries put a kink in your prediction.

However, where in the hell is our offense going to come from next year? OL will still stink. RB depth will be a question. Still no TE that can contribute. WRs better but stil won't have a QB to throw to them at least not a SEC championship type QB. New OC from all indications so we'll have our 4th OC and 3rd new offense in 4 years.

I'm wondering if Booms initial call to have Pease use Charlie Weis' offensive play call language instead of Pease's own has caused some of this issue. Maybe not but it is interesting to think about.

Agree but Muschamp has to change on offense for continued support next year.

My Top 4 Candidates

Gundy
Freeze
Strong
Todd Graham

Before people say Gundy isn't realistic, he gave AR a long hard look last year. He can be had.

I would be happy with any of those 4 guys.

Happy with someone else UNTIL we lose a few games and then its back to whining and posting coaches wish lists...how in the hell do some of you make it through the day? Is life that dark?
