Has anyone ever been this proud of a win over Missouri?

South Carolina is PIMPIN today after that big win.
We're all happy for you, Gamecocks.

Missouri was slightly overrated, but they are a very good team.

That does not include me.
Let them enjoy this victory; some may realize that they soon may fall to 5th place in the SEC East.
Folks, let's remember that this is the program with the most lopsided loss in SEC Championship history, 0 SEC titles, 0 BCS bowl appearances, 0 national championships, 2 11 win seasons all time, a laughable all time time winning percentage, embarrassing WTF losses every season, etc.

We've never had Big 12 teams this excited to beat us. Y'all are different round these parts though.

Probably not so much Missouri as a #5 BCS team at their place I'd imagine.

We'd love to be rivals w/ y'all but we already committed to Mizzou, sorry.

Mauk was overrated, and hit hurt our otherwise good team.

the only reason I give as much of a frick as I do is because of the shite we had to put up with around here the last week.
we're a better program than them and it will continue to show in the coming years when we continue to beat that arse

No, I imagine Oklahoma was pumped when they beat the piss out of Mizzou when they were #1 in the Big 12 title

Yea and uga got smashed pretty good in the SECCG the following year. With the exception of bamma there is serious parity in the conf this year, and probably for the next year too. Injuries and home field advantage will be huge. So, yea, beating the BCS #5 at their place and getting back into the division race is pretty big.

Part of it is all the obnoxious Mizzou posters and thread from last week. Part of it is the win being the first OT win in school history.
The biggest reason for all the excitement is that we're still alive in the East and have the most manageable schedule left out of everybody involved.

Not even comparable; Georgia left two touchdowns off the board and held LSU to 0 first downs in the first half. Georgia lead at halftime; the ball game wasn't decided until after halftime.

Goddamn. You pulled on completely out of your arse last night and you know it.
And just exactly what has this great USCe won in this league?

it took us one quarter of football to beat your team
who knows when mizzou will manage to get that first W against us as SEC members

I think everyone seems to be forgetting the difference between a W and an L for us.
An L we drop to 5-3, Eastern hopes gone, at best we get 8-9 wins and a Peach Bowl or something.
With a win our Eastern title hopes are alive and well. On top of that it was against the #5 ranked team in the country, on the road, and came back from 17 down late and scored our first ever OT win.
So yeah, we're happy. Our road schedule is done. We finish with 4 home games where we've won 14 in a row, good for 2nd in the nation.
It was a season saver. Or at least a season preserver for the time being.
