Mountain Gumps and Gumps unite: make a dying man's wish reality

Their dad was dx'd with stage 4 cancer and has been given 2 months to live. He wanted to attend a UT game before he died (he's never been to any major sporting event only a minor league game), and wanted to be there for the UT-UGA game at Neyland. His sons knew they had to make this happen even though they didn't have the cash.
All they asked for was $300 dollars to purchase 3 seats to the game. It was raised and then some.
An older Nooga article noted:
While not mentioned in the earlier article (linked below) after checking out the fundraising page other BAMA fans donated as well (one said RTR and explained he couldn't help it but he gave). They've also been offered 4 seats in the skybox by a UT fan, a free hotel stay, and now have plenty of money to buy all the mementos they could ever ask for, bring joy to their dad before he passes, and make memories to last a lifetime. Memories any child would treasure.
And many other things/offers of support since this started have rolled in. The campaign lasted only a few days but in that short time they got more than they dreamed of.
So from one fan to another: thank you Gumps. Your support made it all the more touching to hear about. This is what the SEC and even what our longstanding history as rivals - the TSiO - is all about.

It’s a cause that has crossed the boundaries of football rivalries. Matt said the donation that put them over the top came from a self-described Alabama fan, who commented, “Hard for me to say as a bama fan, but GO BIG ORANGE....hope your dad gets to see a victory."

That's really good to hear. It's nice that people can set aside their rivalry hatred at times like this.
It's great to hear there are still good people in this world.
