A small part of an Advocate article about the game.

“I get to go to a place I wanted to play my whole life,” Copeland said. “They didn’t offer me (a scholarship) and I have a little chip on my shoulder about that. They knew I was interested. They told me I was too short (6-foot-1).”

Gonna be busting people up. Other Ga players on our team...

Backup quarterback Anthony Jennings is from Marietta, wide receiver Quantavius Leslie is from Hogansville, fullback J.C. Copeland is from LaGrange, offensive lineman Andy Dodd is from Lindale and long snapper Reid Ferguson and offensive lineman Vadal Alexander are from Buford.

eta-Alexander was born in New Orleans

Well, we have a Quayvon now so no worries. He could have walked on with Cam at TE, Nick Marshall at CB, and Mett could have worked for the state or something as a motivational speaker

Zander Ogletree got the FB spot in that class to secure Alec Ogletree. Worth it.

We have Quayvon now anyway

A third of SC's starters are from GA. They had a chip on their shoulder(s) too.

Copeland's just lucky to be playing SEC ball... no way he would've made it as a DE or DT in this league, IMO. Good thing for him someone on LSU's staff had the foresight to stick him at FB.

So 6'1 players can't play on the line in the sec? What a stupid thought you have.

You're really sensitive.

Nice story. I know Chase, he's a good guy.

I've just always noticed Copeland fricking around after the play when we play LSU. Sorry that it makes you upset.

We have some SC kids, but there aren't very many Ga kids on USCe's roster that UGA wanted. A few, but not many
