Disrespecting the sanctity of our soil. It was like Rome sowing the fields of Carthage with salt, it was like spitting on our grave.
Let me be mad damnit.
Let me be mad damnit.

It's the same thing as when your classless douchebag coach ran around with his fingers in the air and your idiot fanbase lapped it up....of course LSU fans are still pissed...

Didn't think Auburn was the underdog.

That said, yeah I guess it was disrespectful.

At the time, people really didn't like TT due to his arrogance
quote:This I can agree with. Been lots of great games and interesting side stories.
It was just all part of the LSU-AU rivalry that gave us some great and memorable games for over a decade.

What's crazy is how the Auburn administration goes along with these types of things. Very few schools would allow their team to do this type of thing.

I can tell you this...henderson being who he is and getting a little overexuberant, was an afterthought within a week. The gif will be used because lets be honest, it's funny, but outside of that old man no one is going to give a shite when we play them next year, certainly not 14 years later.

fear the thumb slogans and gear... then the Streak 6 stuff. idk, i thought that was tacky to bring into the actual game with your head coach getting into it. maybe that's just me

Please do tell. I am waiting for your justification on why its okay for bama to do it but wrong for Auburn

No, I think a lot of people didn't like TT, even from his Ole Miss days. I was in high school, so I can't point to specifics, but I remember having that perception at the time.
Look, it's not like my jimmies are all rustled over that, and I doubt they were at that time. It's just something that happens in sports that any fanbase would be upset about it. It's the same thing that happens when "bulletin board material" comes about from something stupid someone says about an upcoming opponent. Does it really matter? No. Does it add to rivalries and the fun of being a sports fan? Sure.
ETA: Sports fans, either consciously or subconsciously, want to create animosity towards opponents. It wouldn't be fun if it were a lovefest every week.

um, smoking them in the middle of the field after a regular season game on your opponent's field. isn't that what y'all did? smoke cigars on the field? idk lol.
LSU fans are the ones to acknowledge that's tacky to, not me. i don't care that you did it. sort of auburn's mantra.

Do they ever just let some petty, inconsequential event go?
