Edited by admin because the OP Is a dumbass

Incident happened the night before the game

It likely had nothing to do with either fan base and was an isolated incident

Thoughts and prayers go out to Carson and his family and we wish him a speedy recovery

@RossBjorkAD: @Chief_Reb @NealMcCready @chaseparham @SpiritBen Just got word he is critical but progressing. We're praying for Carson Otter and his family

WOW, is there a link to the incident? That is crazy and so sad. Just damn.

eta:I am only seeing rumors. No real facts to prove this to be true as of yet. This thread should be whacked without viable proof it happened.

He was Sigma Nu, majoring in Management Information Systems.

Per LinkedIn, he was also a pro-shop assistant at Bloomington Country Club.

Nothing out there yet. I'd wait and see if it's legit...I find it odd that no news source has bothered reporting on "College football fan beaten to death by opposing fan after his team wins." That's exactly the kind of story the media absolutely loves to swarm around.

Police searching for downtown assault suspect COMMENT(4) 0 108 85 194 By Julie Chang American-Statesman Staff A man was hospitalized over the weekend after police say he hit his head on the ground during a downtown assault. The incident happened after 2 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of East Seventh and Trinity streets. A man was walking and having an argument with another man, who was a passenger in a 4-door silver vehicle. The passenger then left the vehicle and punched the man, who then fell to the ground and hit his head. The man was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with injuries that were considered possibly life threatening. The suspect returned to the car, which then left the scene. Police have not released detailed information on the suspect or the victim. They did not say what the argument was about.

If you know anything about that program or its fans, this shouldn't shock you.

The city of Austin will be under Marshall Law if they don't win another game for the rest of the season.

Shouldn't everyone wait for some facts to emerge?
Just seems like coming unglued over a couple of tweets is a little premature.
But I sure am hoping for the best.
After some of the things I've read on message boards recently, its unsettling to see how warped people's perspectives have become.
It's. A. Game.
