Is the SEC turning into the Big 12?

Offense all over the place and Bama giving up 42 points and 600 yards. The only way to stop JFF is get some turnovers. I kept wondering why Saban kept his corners in man when they were getting abused. One thing though Bama's offense looked great.

No.
Wait and see if LSU can do better. Doubt it.

A&M defense has been horrible all year so far. It was a mixture of a good Bama offense and horrible A&M defense. The difference in the game was pick 7

Ole Miss and A&M, and to a lesser degree for now, Auburn will skew the numbers.

Because it was even worse when they ran zone.
They should have doubled the big man though.

All the hysteria is just silly. It was one game that turned into a shootout. The SEC didn't turn into the B12 after the LSU/WV game either. Or the 2007 LSU/Arkansas game. Or...well, the list goes on.

I think its a down season for defenses everywhere thanks to all the new rule changes and fear of ejection. Not to mention offenses are probably exploiting said rules. Once the DCs and the players get used to the changes you'll see defense creep back up.
May not be to the same level though

Just because a few crappy teams are faltering on defense doesn't mean you should lump the entire SEC together.

One of our worst programs just beat one of their best. I would say no.

The performance of the SEC so far this season is the result of the big time programs having experience QBs. For several years the SEC was devoid of great QB play. At least half of the teams have very good QBs: JFF, AJ, Murray, Mett, Shaw, Wallace (?), etc.
