Meh, I don't think it's that. The offense just won't be good until the Oline figures it out. That might be this week. It might be week 5. I honestly think by the end of the year Alabama will be by far and away the best team in college football. But it's gonna take some growing pains to get there.

I wished we had had a game this week so I could gauge better.
I think our Defense is going to be fast and all over the place, putting pressure on JM, but not allowing a lot of running. I believe the secondary is really talented, but may give up a play or two. Overall, I think it'll be as effective as last year, without giving up the quick start. As far as our offense, I think it'll be much improved, and the run game will help burn some clock. I think it could be similar scores to last year, except we prevail.
I'm going to go with:

My crazy prediction for this game is that we don't punt in meaningful snaps. With the o-line being shaky in week 1, that seems near impossible. But Saban has owned in revenge games.
McCarron is my key factor though since he is 1-0 in revenge games with his ridiculous 2011 performance. He is ready for this game and the VT game shook the rest of the offense as well. With enough line improvement and his deep receiving corps, he could take over. I also think Christion Jones can give us good field position for our drives starting out.
The defense is ready to prove themselves as well since they let up so many points in the loss last year.I think having Vinnie back roving deep with Clinton-Dix will be key as well guarding against those deep passes Johnny is so good on. Moseley matches up as a spy as well as anyone in college football could with Manziel.

My confidence level is low right now. I haven't seen anybody be able to tackle this slippery SOB yet. Maybe Saban has a plan, but I'm expecting him to pull some crap like he did last year.
