Here's the kicker about Petrino. If you're a lower-level program that needs someone to recruit their arse off to bring in players, Petrino isn't exactly going to work with you. He'd probably get owned by Freeze in MS. It was something he struggled with outside of Brohm and Michael Bush at UofL. There's also a good chance he's going to leave your program in a less than desirable way unless you're someone like Auburn where he's been itching to get for a couple decades now.
You can hire him and win a few games while he's there. But in the SEC he's always going to be a step behind the big boys. Especially now that they have even more recruiting dirt on him. He works for WKU because they pick up a bunch of transfer, JUCOs, and the like.
