Lived there for 3 years while my wife finished up residency at ol Ruby.
If you want to still live the college life, look downtown in South Park or Woodburn. We lived in Suncrest which is up the hill form the university and walking distance to hospital. It's a bit more grown up but still close to the action. North Hills is similar. We had some friends that lived around Cheat Lake. Let me know if you need specifics.

Golf stuff doesn't make the rounds much because most of the world doesn't care and the golf community is pretty close-knit.
Here's a few I've heard from round the way:
-DJ is a hound. Only known wife he slept with was Will McKenzie. Rumors are he slept Jimmy Walker's wife, but I think people have gotten confused with WM. Will is really liked on the tour, so a lot of players hate DJ for that.
-His Masters injury from a few years ago supposedly involved a drunk argument between he and Keopka, where Brooks threw him down some stairs/off a porch. I've heard Brooks' lady was involved and I've heard it was just two drunk bros fricking around. Not sure.
-He has taken a few coke breaks. PGA chooses not to disclose fines and suspensions, so they are all given as medical reasons, but it is for coke.
-Dufner's ex was rumored to be with Tiger, not DJ, after the divorce but don't think that's accurate. I think she was just a good ole fashioned gold digger.
-Rory was banging lots of women when he was with Wozniaki. He was late to the Ryder Cup on singles morning because he finally slept with this broad he'd been chasing for a long time. He's now married to her. But Woz found out about all the women. It just wasn't a public as Tiger's escapades.
-Kim used to get absolutely blasted. I've heard it wasn't uncommon to find him passed out at a party house a few hours before his tee times. Don't have many good stories, but dude had some substance issues
-I know a few people who swear they have been propositioned by FIGJAM. Males who are involved with tour activities at tournaments. They swear by it, but I'm skeptical. I could see him being bi though.
-Supposedly FIGJAM let Michael Jordan sleep with Amy a few times.

Great area to get a hotel. What's your desired price range?
Not budget level, but I'm not looking for a 5 star either. Something around $150-200 a night or so.

You can walk most places you'll want to go. Any uber ride will be less than 10 minutes unless you're going to the galleria or to the suburbs.
We will walk for sure, that's my favorite thing to do in a new city. I was more interested in getting from the airport to the hotel area. Uber? Taxi? Tram?

Google the many Houston restaurant recs that have been on the F&D board. Too many to list here
Will do, thanks! I'd take your favorite bbq place and/or restaurant though

Hey guys. I know there are probably some Houston residents or frequent visitors who could give some advice. Any help is appreciated. We will be there from May 25-28. I would like to stay near the Toyota Center (yes, taking the wife to the Justin Timberlake concert) if anyone has experience staying near there. Any must do's or must eat's that are going to be taking place that weekend? We are flying into Hobby and had planned to Uber or something everywhere. Is that doable?

Good Lord. At least these fricks aren't calling and harassing me. Thanks for the reply.

Look in the email for basic errors like typos, mis-spellings, grammatical errors, or general wording that doesn't make much sense.
It definitely has them. It looks official but also "off" at the same time. That's why I assumed it was phishing. What has me worried is the frequency with which they are now arriving in my inbox along with the second random gmail account as another recipient.

Do you have any type of product or service with a company called Mobilitiworld? If not, it's most likely phishing email trying to get you to call or provide them with financial information.
No. I had never heard of it until these emails started.

Delete the emails, and if they get real annoying block that email address.
That's what I've been doing, but just wanted to double check. I'm not really sure how these e-mails are supposed to work or how I'm exposed. Just sort of read up on them online and wanted some other opinions.
Thanks for the response.
Phishing e-mail question
Posted by Flat Stick on 4/29/16 at 8:24 am
Please excuse my ingnorance. I'm not very tech-savvy.
I've been getting what I believe to be phishing e-mails. It's an e-mail from some company in India (Mobilitiworld) with an email address of care at mobilitiworld dot com. It comes to my GMail but also is addressed to a random gmail account listed after mine which I thought was weird. I'm not dumb enough to open the e-mail attachment, but there is a pdf along with the e-mail that looks like an invoice. I've been getting about 3 a day for the past week which has me worried that maybe it's not a phishing e-mail, though. All bank accounts and credit cards have been checked and have no issues. All invoice amounts are in rupees but are around $8-12 USD.
Any ideas? Is there somewhere I can forward these? It's pretty fricking annoying outside of being worrisome.
Thanks very much and again I apologize for my ignorance.

Moving there for a year (this July to next June). What areas should I be looking to rent in? It's just my wife and I (and a dog). Ideally we would need to live nearish the hospital system. I'm in accounting/finance. Other than the university are there many employers or should I probably take this time to start an advanced degree?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Fishing Trips/Excursion Recs

Greetings gents,
My buddies and our dads fly out to Yellowstone area every other year for a summer fishing trip. We are looking to mix things up a little bit and wondered if anyone had suggestions on locations. We would like to be out west or in Canada. We don't really have a preferences on where to stay. It can be a lodge, hotels, whatever, but the old guys prefer not to camp. Thanks for any insight.

Star? Not really. He's a great piece for the Malzahn offense. He doesn't fit the down hill style Saban likes. It's just a better fit at AU, but let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story.

I don't see what the big deal is? If the Aubs want to claim more titles then go nuts. Nobody cares but them and Bama fans anyways.

Certainly not in the last 10 years, but we will never know for sure as media has changed drastically in that time. I mean imagine if social media existed for people like Namath, Michaels Jordan and/or Irvin, or even the Babe.

Depends on your definition of "for real." Won't keep up this level but I see him at around .280/95/16/70/20. Playing in Coors for half his games will help. I unloaded him, bonifacio, and Jesse Chavez for Pence and Ellsbury :nana:
