I don't think we'll be ready for Texas in Austin. The Auburn game has a WAOM feel to it IMO. No one is beating Bama this year. Winning the Egg Bowl will be a challenge this year with them being thirsty for revenge in Starkville.

I think 7-5 is he safest most realistic bet.
BUT I don't really see that as
the progression in year 2 of our program that we are hoping for.
We have to beat Vandy now and if we can't split with AU and MSU then we haven't made that jump as a program that I am hoping for.
If Freeze is the real deal we go 8-4 and that's what I'm going with

I know we will drop a game we shouldn't and I think it will either be Auburn or State.I picked Auburn because I could see State having a tough year and not having much to play for.I think we win one of the three between Texas,Texas A&M,and LSU.

I can't remember a year when we had so many unknowns and so many tossup games.
IF Bo stays healthy and IF he improves over last year as much as I think he will, and
IF Sawyer and Gholson get healthy and stay healthy, and
IF someone steps up at TE, and
IF Ritter can consistently nail 40-yarders, and
IF we avoid a rash of injuries,
then yeah, we could finish 11-1 or 10-2. If those things don't happen, we could be looking at 5-7 or even 4-8.
Continuing with Capt. Obvious:
Losses to Bama (highly likely)
and JFF-led aTm (likely).
Wins over SEMO, Idaho, Arky, Mizzou, and Troy: very likely
Five tossups IMO: Vandy, Texas, LSU, Aub, and the doggies. We have the home/away disadvantage in all five (we play LSU better in DV than in Oxford).
We have to hold serve in our favored games and win three out of five tossups to finish 8-4.

Actually, a couple of weeks ago I had them as a tossup too. But nagging injuries to our already thin secondary makes me less optimistic against a team with a QB who can manufacture extra time to exploit that weakness. Plus, I imagine that the weak before we play them, Tre will get flagged for targeting and will have to sit out that game. Because WAOM.
