The thing that stood out to me while reading the article is that those Dixie Mafia lawyers must be hella-good. Never heard of a family that beat so many charges.

Agreed. I am not sure so much has been dug up about a college athlete and his family in the history of college athletics. Pretty pathetic.
If family history had anything to do with a person's character, then I would either be a horse thieving murderer running from the law with a stolen horse from Oklahoma to Louisiana, or a civil war fighting old west lawman with the ability to be a founding father.
The deeds of a father have nothing to do with the son.

Wow, crazy article.
So this shite is in his blood.
That's pretty badass. He kind of seems like the man.

It is scary how the adults of today's generations can't seem to mature past a certain level of adolescence.
It is not enough to hate the kid, but there must be these constant negative stories about the kid to satisfy their insecure opinion. Never seen anything like it outside of high school.
He has issues but I don't need other grown men writing hit pieces on him so I can run back to a messageboard and yell..."YEAH!...SEE....TOLD YA!".

As we used to say in Biloxi, behind every family fortune is a crime.

She "sells real estate" and he works at a car dealership because they are both part of the family empire. You don't get money to play with your dick all day and watch Maury. This is a family that is always pushing for more, rightfully or wrongfully.
You ask for money to make more money with. They are living comfortably because they have a two income household and have been making money for a longtime. All with the benefit of not having to go into debt to start, and knowing any venture you try will either succeed or lead to your next one. Their son was a redshirt 3rd stringer and they bought a million dollars worth of two homes in college station.
Watch the godfather series and get back to me.
It ain't Garth Brooks money, but it's a lotta money.... Says Paul Manziel. While he carpools three hours away to manage the Honda dealership. And the wife is humping it in the real estate buisness, selling houses in College Station. But there's plenty of cash to send lil Johnny to Cabo, Toronto, tix to NBA finals, rounds at Pebble, etc.....
How many ventures is Paul trying while he's working for the Honda man?

For example, as a lawyer, the logical conclusion I drew from reading that article is that a big chunk of the Manziel family assets has been placed into a family limited partnership, probably managed by Johnny's great uncle Nolan, in order to protect that generation of Manziel's from blowing their inheritance--which certainly sounds like a prudent move when you read about their exploits. A little more effort might have uncovered someone with knowledge about how all this works, and what it really means financially to the limited partners--but Deadspin never got that far.
Well you must suck as a lawyer because I read something completely different. If there is substantial money in the family it's obviously NOT in Johnny's branch of the tree. Keep trying to convince yourselves otherwise... We are enjoying your bs excuses.

The Honda stuff and the real estate is just a cover.
Haven't you ever watched Breaking Bad? If someone from the outside described Walter White in an article they'd say he worked in a car wash he owns with his wife. Get real.
Dixie Mafia, bitch. And you frickers said we didn't belong in the SEC. Ha! Where's your Dixie Mafia quarterback?

It's really funny how you've convinced yourself you know what you are talking about.

Yup, yup, and Tony Soprano is just some regular Joe who works as a waste management consultant.

OK...then I will ask...How is JFF affording to do the things that HE is flashing around for everyone to see? This scam will get bigger before it goes away. He comes from a long history of scumbags & thieves and when the opportunity presented...they took the high road? Give me a break. It's right there for everyone to read. Think all that stuff that JFF was signing was gratis? Hell no it wasn't...and you fools know it.
I hope the NCAA is looking into every incident where JFF was sitting coutside and questions where he got the tickets. Who flew him around the country? Let's see that incredible amount of money that flowed from the Manziel Oil Fortune down to JFF's personal account. I'd love to see anything close to an open accounting of just the things we know he's been up to. Someone had to pay for it. It would be easy for an honest person that had nothing to hide. This would all go away if the Manziel's would simply show that they have been funding the friggin brats lifestyle on the up and up. We all know that isn't the case so prepare your arse aTm...you back him so you deserve what you will get.
