they are definitely not old money

Anyone who thinks they are is ignorant.

Old money refers to families that came to America wealthy on the boat. If your family was, at any time, broke while in america, then you are automatically disqualified from the "Old Money" conversation. Unless of course your family was wealthy, lost their riches, and then somehow very quickly got them back by, I don't know, maybe killing the person that took your fortune. I that case, I can see you keeping the old money moniker.

Regardless, old man Manziel had to get 400 bucks from joe Dempsey not only after arriving in America, but also IN THE 20TH CENTURY. If you think that's old money then u need serious help.

Regardless, Manziel family name = thug pos. he just carrying on the family tradition IMO. It's in his blood.

Not true of all old money. You can be poor and still be old money if you never fall down the rabbit hole of new money behavior. Also, many of the folks that came to build America were women or second sons who by the global tradition of primogeniture had no family money and came to the USA to build fortunes from scratch.

So, the Manziels have a very shady past, and a history notable for its completely arrogant disrespect of laws and rules. Wow! Who would have thought?

Johnny's apple didn't fall far from the family tree. They're trashy.

It doesn't buy NBA courtside seats, rounds at Pebble Beach, weekend jet setting in Toronto with Drake, beaches in Cabo either. Honda dealership salary just doesn't stretch that far.

Understands that "it ain't Garth Brooks money, but it's a lot of money."

Wonders why a family that inherited a lot of money has momma selling real estate, and daddy workin as a general manager of a Honda dealership three hours away from home?

Yet, they are able give their son courtside seats to NBA playoffs, jet off to Toronto for the weekend, beachside in Cabo, rounds at Pebble Beach, etc......

So Paul uses his inherited money to give his son a rockstar lifestyle, while he trucks his arse off to the Honda dealership and can only make it home on the weekends 'cause it's a 3 hour drive from home?

I agree. The Syrian assassin sounds gay. Just simply The Syrian adds an air of mystery. The Syrian what? Nobody knows.

It's bone chilling actually. Like I just got goosebumps when I typed that....

She "sells real estate" and he works at a car dealership because they are both part of the family empire. You don't get money to play with your dick all day and watch Maury. This is a family that is always pushing for more, rightfully or wrongfully.

You ask for money to make more money with. They are living comfortably because they have a two income household and have been making money for a longtime. All with the benefit of not having to go into debt to start, and knowing any venture you try will either succeed or lead to your next one. Their son was a redshirt 3rd stringer and they bought a million dollars worth of two homes in college station.

Watch the godfather series and get back to me.

i don't think people are saying paul and/or momma shouldn't be working- it's about paul working for someone else. if he's loaded why not own the dealership? you don't have to be garth brooks rich to own a dealership.

If I heard that The Syrian was nearby, I'd lock the house and load the 20 gauge.

On the other hand, if I heard someone referred to as The Syrian Assassin, I'd laugh and nutcheck them. Then I'd say something like, "GTFO! Go back to your Dungeons and Dragons lair."

dont have as much money as some people on here like to assume.

They have enough money to afford things and live comfortably with a nest egg. They dont have enough money to not work and suck on the family tit. It's kind of like starting off life with a retirement fund ready to go

The thing that stood out to me while reading the article is that those mafia lawyers must be hella-good. Never heard of a family that beat so many charges.
