They are not, there are already other mementos being sold with pieces of the oaks

The article already says they could not confirm the duck calls thing to be true and one source (or whatever) said it was not true.
Article appears to be bogus.

But it is true. .. I've talked to folks at Au and they have confirmed
They are 1k bucks because they are making very few

Cool. Maybe I'll get one.
I think I would like to get one something that they make from the trees. If it is something nice enough that is frameable, I'll definitely get something for my office.

They already have a panorama of the last rolling with a piece of a tree, framed for sale , FWIW

Auburn loves to make money off of its alumni.

Duck calls?? I know this is Auburn, but that's a very mississippi state thing to do to the trees.

I'm just thinking back to when Saban was hired - the AU fans bashed Tubs for choosing to go duck hunting instead of recruiting. Now they are selling duck calls made from the oaks?

grips for pistols.
engrave them, sequentially.

I highly doubt the entire damn wood mass is being divvied up to make duck calls. That being said, it is Auburn, and Auburn loves to make money off of its alumni. I can only imagine portions of the tree will be saved and reused in some slightly more noble fashion on campus.
This would be sweet above the stadium entrance or somewhere close to Toomers Corner to "Roll The Eagle"...

I wouldn't put wood that has been poisoned with hard core herbicides anywhere near me. I work in the chemical industry and the shite that Updike used to kill those trees is some bad shite

You're not very bright are you.
And I know way more duck hunters from Ole Miss than from MSU.
