Only two SEC TE's have won the Mackey award.
DJ Williams and Aaron Hernandez.

Julio also had JPW and McElroy throwing to him.
Okay???? That actually gives Harvin less looks...because Tebow took the ball himself a lot...look at passing attempts...
John Parker Wilson
Greg McElroy
Tim Tebow
Julio's junior year he caught 78 passes.....and he actually was returning kicks as well....Harvin was just game changer in so many other ways.

As a wide receiver - Julio
As a KR PR or all purpose back - Percy
The position listed was WR which is what I based my opinion.

You were arguing with a LSU fan over that particular matter. I simply provided a list of accolades where the poster got it from.

Yes, and considering everyone knows that the SEC produces some of the most elite DE's in the country that Andre Smith was going against the best DE's in the country for 3 straight years while earning all those accolades. Joeckel spent 2 years in the Big 12 with shitty defenses, and then came over to the SEC and blocked for a Heisman winning QB who runs around a lot and has no motive to stay in the pocket and trust his blockers.

But when Tebow threw the ball, there was a better chance it was a good pass.

Still made my point

Maybe say ALL-NFL for SEC guys in BCS Era if that's apart of your selection criteria.
If that was the criteria then Clowney wouldn't be on there.

Depends on what kind of offense you are running. You can't just assume it's a conventional 50/50 pro style attack. Harvin made the most of opportunities with the ball. If I am starting a college team Percy Harvin gives me more ways to attack than Julio Jones based on the college performance.

No Lattimore no care
Almost stopped reading when I saw Tebow instead of Cammie Cam

Can you somehow quantify that statement? I'm not sure that's a fact anyone can base a logically formulated argument from without numbers to back it up.
Also, if I remember correctly Greg McElroy was given a chance to play for the NY Jets despite his status as the QB behind Tebow on the depth chart. We all know Tebow has a slow and unorthodox throwing motion. Maybe if he could throw it better than Harvin would have even better numbers.
....see we can do this all day, but I choose to go off what he do know in terms of touchdown, overall yards from the line of scrimmage, and positions from which each individual was capable of impacting the game...Harvin impacted the game from 3 different areas from day 1, and it led Florida to multiple SEC championship game appearances and a national championship.

Lattimore? Over Shaun Alexander and Darren McFadden?
How do you put a guy that played one season over Tim Tebow? Regardless of how great that season was for Cam Newton, is Tebow's career that long ago for some people?

Newton was more impressive than Tebow both running and throwing the ball.
How do you penalize a guy for taking the money and running after only one season?
