Missouri and Cincinnati comes to mind as stadiums that are incredibly shite looking from ground level. I don't like it all that much as I think the imposing many story level high stadiums helps create atmosphere.
Does Clemson have one as well?

I don't know but nothing tops a beautiful stadium by the river

The stadiums remind you of a toilet bowl, because those teams are shite. I'LL FIGHT ANYBODY.

I wouldn't call Clemson sunken. The entire upper deck, and a large portion of the lower deck is above ground, with the SEZ not really being below ground. If the stadiums that are ground level look like Neyland's erector set, I would choose the sunken stadium. But some look really nice, BDS and Ohio Stadium for example.

Especially when it's along side the father of waters...

The Big House looks like nothing more than a one-story building on the outside. I do agree that if you're going to not sink the lower-levels, you need to make it look nice on the outside. BDS is pretty imposing on the outside. You come into campus on a hill, and the first thing you see is BDS towering over everything.

Sanford Stadium's lower bowl was built in a natural creek valley.Tanyard creek still runs thru a culvert underneath the field. Upper decks are above ground level...

The new additions are huge
Eventually they are going to put decks on in the endzones that will be as high as the boxes.

michigan is also unique in that the teams enter the locker room through the sidelines... not the endzones... the only place I can think of that does that.

Since the tornado went through, you can see BDS from the highway.

They're lowering the playing field at Kyle 10' to make the sidelines closer as part of the big renovation, but until then Kyle is actually ABOVE ground level. There's a slight incline from all surrounding parking to the stadium and the field is a little lip above that. As a result... 100's of feet of bare ugly concrete tower above you.
