10-2 five seasons in a row, or win a MNC and be under .500 the other four?

This only applies to college football IMO. With the college game being such a "what have you done for me lately" type of game, the obvious subjectivity of which two teams are in the championship, and the big M in "MNC", wouldn't you rather be 10-2 and relevant every year? This especially applies to season ticket holders.

The correct answer is MNC.

I'd rather win one NC. 10-2 is really good, but people don't often remember who had a really good season a few years later. Everybody remembers the National Champion.

Speaking as a fan whose team has actually won a championship, it's easy to say 10-2. For other teams, you're going to get a lot of National Championships. Oh, and cut the Mythical bullshite.

why do people put MNC?
is that a mega national championship?

the object is to win a championship
but if you're happy with 10-2, rock on cock

It's for people who haven't won one, but they feel it brings less legitimacy to those who have so they can feel better about themselves

Mythical national championship, referencing the lack of a playoff.

i wouldn't trade either 2003 or 2007 for 100 "10-2" seasons
I guess in 07 we got both though!! HA HA MOTHERfrickERS

Everyone remembers Auburn won it all on 2010. Not many remember Arkansas was pretty damn good and went to the Sugar Bowl

Don't know, Georgia fans, what's the word?
Posted on 7/30/13 at 10:03 pm to Roger Klarvin
So the question is, would I rather have a mythical national championship or real life success?

I'm not saying Bama wasn't the best team in any of their last 3 championships...just bringing up the fact that we wouldn't see games like the Giants v Pats back in 06 or 07 if NFL voted the 2 best teams in.

So that makes all titles in cfb mythical?
Posted on 7/30/13 at 10:05 pm to ChillCock
obviously you know who the previous 5-10 champions are...but if you're going to every one of your home games, would you trade one for four years of misery? how many losing seasons would you sacrifice for a championship?

I didn't come up with the M in MNC...didn't even know what it meant until this summer

Are you asking, "this is your choice for the next 5 years"?
I don't see how any reasonable Alabama fan can say anything but 10-2 5 straight years

why are you talking to yourself? This thread is weird.

Why not have both? Just go 10-2 every year you aren't winning the NC. :coco2:
