Auburn Police Department uses a Quota System

If you're attending AU this fall, or live in the Auburn area, you might find the link interesting (was originally posted on the OT). Each officer is expected to have 100 'encounters' per month in a town the size of Auburn. I know when I was in school we just assumed this was the case, but this is pretty convincing evidence.
Long story short, if you live in Auburn.... watch out.

i could've told you that. I have some young jackass cop that gave me the ole "sorry man i have to" when I got my DUI about 60 yards away from my apartment. I could see my damn bedroom window from where i got pulled over. Had the freakin' president of Beta sorority in my room waitin' on me too. Was NOT happy about that one

I'm sure AU's police department uses IQ caps then. It's the new up and coming trend to control the mindless drones that populate the land of the free.
Cops are a politicians pawn, nothing more. If we had pragmatic cops, you wouldn't have near the abuse of power. But as it is now, high school bullies that flamed out after graduation are the top candidates for "peace officers".

I believe this for sure. There are also way too many cops for a town this size. When you drive down Magnolia and see more cop cars than regular cars, there are too many cops.

If I were the captain I would put a 80/20 ratio on visiting team fans/Auburn fans on the encounters until the iron bowl. Then make it 100/0 with a bonus check for the officer with the most encounters! Lol

Haha...naw she was a good chick. We were sorta dating but her BFF said I was a player and not to give it up to me bc of that....and that was the night she was gonna give it up...oh well, ended up back with the girl who is now my wife after that night anyways.

There are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many public intox arrests in Auburn. It's ridiculous, and a quota system would explain it.

frick the Auburn police. They arrested one of my buddies visiting from another college as soon as he walked out of the bar, like 15 feet away from it.

A quota system is the stupidest idea the cops ever came up with. Basically tell a cop if he wants to keep his job he better arrest a certain number of people for something. That means the cops start putting people in jail for bs stuff like barking at their dogs.

These frickers have to arrest people in order to support the useless industry that is the police. If there is ever a big time crime the pussies call for federal backup. They should all be drawn and quartered

Every speeding violation I have received while at Auburn has come near month end. Didn't think anything of it til talking to someone about this stuff months ago
