Good move by Enos.
@DannyWest1: Hearing new #Arkansas OC Dan Enos traveled to the homes of the Hogs' QBs to meet each family. Nice touch

I have to admit that I'm impressed. Box seats at a high school game are pretty legit.

Smackover’s Jordan Jones received plenty of special attention Friday.
Earlier in the day, the 6-3 receiver was paid a visit by Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema. Later in the afternoon, once the Razorbacks’ coach departed Smackover, Jones was contacted by Alabama coach Nick Saban who offered the junior a scholarship to play for the Crimson Tide.
Jones, who met with Saban Wednesday morning, was not surprised that he got an offer to compete for Alabama.
“I figured it was going to happen. I just thanked (Saban) and told him that I appreciate it,” Jones stated. “It’s just a blessing to have these opportunities. God gets the glory.”
According to Jordan’s father Adrion Jones, Bielema learned about the development via social media.
“He had to find out over the Internet. Yes - coach Bielema has some concern, as Nick Saban has come to Smackover and offered one of the kids he’s recruited (a scholarship),” Mr. Jones said. “But we’ll just see how this thing plays out and see how things go with the new offensive coordinator at Arkansas (Dan Enos).”
Jones and his family has placed an emphasis on approaching his recruitment with patience.
“It’s not a difficult (situation for me). Ultimately, it’s my decision to make,” he stated. “I’m a junior. I have a whole year to decide on what I’m going to do.”
When asked if he’s still solidly committed to the Razorbacks, Jones was quick in confirming that he plans to sign with Arkansas in 2016.
“Right now, it’s still Arkansas,” he said.
As of this point of the recruiting process, Mr. Jones is confident his son will some day be a member of Bielema’s football program.
“We’re still committed to the Razorbacks. I don’t think it will change, but that’s a decision Jordan has to make,” he said. “I don’t want anybody to jump to any conclusions. … We’re still committed to Arkansas. Now – we’re thrilled about the offer from Alabama and expect other programs to also offer a scholarship, but he’s still committed to Arkansas.”

So he's committed but hasn't decided where he's going to school. Got it. In this case though it seems as long as Hogs show progress and a decent offense he's ours.

So it's now looking like we aren't going to land Weathersby.
Scott and Jackson are going to decide early in the week after talking it over with there parents. It also looks like we are making a run to and Reed since we are going to have the space.

Hope Pittman and Bert call him up today. Isn't this the last day they can talk to him before signing day?

Hell yeah adding Weathersby would be insane with the linemen we are already stockpiling.

I THINK Weathersby is gone...
BUt, it is a great class, regardless!

As for Weathersby
quote:
He isn't coming. It's not a matter of being optimistic or not, he has already told LSU where he is going. Arkansas will not take another OLM in class. Feel great about where they are at. Toby was just a nice extra if they got him, but will not add another one.
