But I like a good offensive game matchup.
Much better game than OSU Purdue they were showing earlier

This game is a mystery. I can only assume they have a better matchup than any team - including Bama. Not a flame. I have wondered about this game. It makes no sense.

Two of our best players on D were suspended, but that was still no excuse. It was a bad performance defensively but a big outlier last year

4 defensive starters sat out. As I recall 2 due to suspension, 2 for injuries. Plus LaTech had a much better offense than most here will give them credit for.

Multiple suspensions. We were leading 28-0 with like 4 mins left in the half. The defense then just starting going through the motions and patton killed us

Even with starters out that is odd.
In a few years we better be ready to have to starters out that are 1st rounders and sub in 2 soph that will leave early the next year.

In addition to the suspensions and injuries on defense, the refs were HORRIBLE in this game (Penn Wagers crew). They cut the play for time but right before La Tech first score, they call the worst PI I've ever seen on Jacobs vs Patton on like 3rd and 15. There was no contact AT ALL and even the commentators didn't understand why the flag was thrown.
After that point their O got going and the refs wouldn't let our DBs within 5 yards of Patton without calling a PI. If that call isn't made, we get the ball back, score again, and the game is likely a blowout. Instead we got the clusterfrick that was the 2nd half.

Its 39-13 at half.
I don't care who is in the game you think you win going away.
Odd - especially considering how above their heads the D played all year.

Two defensive starters out + Offensive type we saw only once all year + Game lasting almost five hours = The end result
