That was his scouting report coming out of high school

Falling under the radar due to a lack of great overall production throughout his career but we expect a prolific senior campaign.

That's a 1-year career and we're talking about 2013, not 2015. If they get this simple stuff that wrong, I don't much trust their judgement on quick vs. fast.

Edit: nevermind, saw your post about HS.

Well that makes a lot more sense.

He was injured in high school, if I remember correctly. Otherwise he would have been a lot more high profile coming out of high school.

Was zac Stacy the little rb Vandy had? I would've loved to see what that kid could do behind a Bama or lsu line. That kid fought for every yard he got. Made a lot of positive yardage on his own. Dude had a heart of a giant. Always impressed me

Yes, he set the Vanderbilt single season and career rushing records. He ran with huge heart, like you said. He will definitely be missed this year.

I'm glad he was under the radar like he was...one of the top players in the Saban era and I think he'll back that up this year.

OK, since they said that back when he was in high school, I'll ignore what I've seen him do and assume those geniuses at ESPN were right.

4.45 out of high school isn't elite speed? Now he claims to run a 4.34?

Watch the long 3rd Down pass that McCarron just barely missed Cooper on in the 2nd quarter of the BCS championship. Cooper went into a totally different gear and burned right past the two Notre Dame DBs who were covering him. If he doesn't have elite speed then I don't know who does.

Cooper? That's my bet if I had too. He isn't really fast or really big

In the Spring he weighed in at 210 and ran a 4.34.

Cooper won't lead the SEC in yards. We have too many other weapons. I think Jordan Matthews will.

Holy shite you gumps can take any sentence and make it a slight. It isn't enough that I said Coopee is the best wr. I have to lie and say he has 4.32, is 6'5 and has bette hands than Jerry rice. Good lord. Cooper doesn't have elite speed get over it. He is still probably the best wr in the SEC.

He will not run a 4.3 at the combine. 210 isn't big.

You don't have to have elite speed to get behind people. CBs are usually the fastest and have the quickest hips of anyone on the field and 4.5-4.8 guys get behind them all the time. Cooper is more quick than fast. Like I said earlier, his route running is the best I've seen in a decade AS A FRESH

This is the thing. You're wrong. We watched him time and time again DISPLAY elite speed, and on top of that during the Spring AFTER putting on around 10 pounds he still ran a 4.34. Will that translate to a sub 4.4 time at the Combine? Who knows, I think he'll be a 4.38 guy at the Combine.

Were you apart of the group that said Dee Milliner lacked sub 4.4 speed despite us constantly telling everyone that he didn't? We don't say shite just to say it, we usually have a good reason behind it.

He won't run a 4.3 at the Combine? Of course not, but a 4.38 is my early prediction.

And 210 is big when you're around 6'1" and you haven't even started your Sophomore season yet.

We're not ragging on you because we don't think you're giving Coop what he deserves, we're on you because you refuse to believe he runs sub 4.4 times.

Combine times are a farce as of last year.

One example doesn't outweigh overall gumpness. Ryan Swope ran a 4.34(supposedly, as of last year I don't trust any 40 times) but that isn't my point. Pick a random player on the Alabama squad that you thought was faster overall than Ryan Swope? I'm sure there were plenty. So I still think y'all more often than not "say shite just to say shite". 40 times being terrible evidence to the contrary.
